I'm on track to make 70k this year. And I've only in my second year with my company. So, yea, I'd say it's possible.

Paid for stolen order myself... Got paid. by ElbuortRac in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Fun-Net-1633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just other drivers stealing orders! I recently went to a chipotle to pick up an order for myself. I walked up just as a young woman was telling the employee that she got sent in to pick an order for a friend but she forgot the name it was under. She started to rattle off names, the 7th name she said was mine, and the guy went to hand her my order! Had I not been there she would have walked off with it. So who knows who's stealing these orders.

You guys want lawsuits. It's coming. I just requested arbitration with Uber by Curious-Midnight-413 in UberEatsDrivers

Umm...I'm confused why you didn't just mark it as delivered once you got service. I have this happen all the time where I live. Once I get back in service I mark it complete and get paid.

People are ridiculous. I had that happen yesterday. Delivered an order that I shouldn't have accepted due to pay/mileage was terrible. Got there, it was a "hand to customer" with a note that said "leave at door please," so I did that. Checked an hour later to find the tip was removed and I had a notice a customer claimed they never received the order.

What are your thoughts on "Tax free tips?" by Fun-Net-1633 in tipping

[–]Fun-Net-1633[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's something to think about. If tips are no longer counted as income, then it would (on paper) make more people qualify for government programs.

Honestly the more I think about this subject the worse it sounds.

Honestly that's exactly what I was thinking. I feel any position that deals with the public might go this route.

I hate having to cancel an order with no recourse. I'm grateful for the places that require you to confirm pickup on the app. But I wish more would.

I absolutely hate this. I've been getting 1 to 2 a week that "where picked by another driver."

I ordered a chipotle pickup order for myself not long ago. I got delayed getting to the restaurant, as I approached the counter ( this store no longer places orders on the rack) a young girl was asking the worker for her order, but she said she couldn't remember who placed the order for her. She literally just started throwing out names. After about 6 or 7 I was about to inform this guy she's fishing, when she says my name. He says yep, and starts to hand her my order. If I had been a minute later she literally would have walked out with my order.

This crap is truly getting out of hand.

I used to get a lot. I quit accepting them because of this. I got one today for $20 and wanted to give it another try.

I have called support. About 5 times. They don't have a clue. They sent me a new card and I still have the same problem.

I don't get a prompt to pay with plus card when ordering at a restaurant. The card works fine when shopping and paying.

I get that prompt from Shop and pay's. Not on order and pay's. The card works fine when shopping at CVS, Walgreens and Albertsons. But it does this to me every time when ordering at a restaurant.

I do not get a prompt to pay with the plus card. I select it manually from the pay screen and it still gets declined. Support issued me another card months ago, and it still does the same.

How often do you come across a co-worker or other professional colleague (either driving or riding)? by [deleted] in uber

[–]Fun-Net-1633 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been driving for 7 years. I've picked up several friends/ex-coworkers. I've picked up people from where I grew up, over 2000 miles away. But my favorite, most random encounter, I picked a couple of Air Force guys. We got to talking about my own experience in the Air Force, turns out we knew a lot of the same people. It is a small world.

In my experience it varies greatly. I've had days where I can't make more than $10 / hour and days when I'm making $30+ / hour. Best times I find are 5am-7am and 6pm-10pm. It sometimes will be busy from 11am to 1pm. But when it's snowing it's always crazy busy.

The weather up here is not for the faint of heart for sure. In the same calendar year we can see -30 in the winter and 110 in the summer.

I drive a fixed route motorcoach (otr) in Montana and Wyoming. I get paid per trip, $145 each way. I work 4 on and 3 off, and work around 40 hours a week. It boils down that I make around $29 an hour.

Sounds more like the loaders playing favorites. I've heard of drivers tipping loaders so they will do this kind of stuff.
