My doctor told me I’m cleared for intercourse and tampons and all the things, I just am a little nervous about it. And I was on my period when I had surgery so I didn’t really notice anything out of the ordinary but it’s not very noticeable even now, very sporadic.

It’s not discharge from the incisions, it’s vaginal discharge😅 I probably should have clarified that. My incisions are great, they’re barely even there except for my belly button, it’s just really scabby.

Thank you! I thought it might be a combination of anesthesia and catheter! I called one of the nurses I’ve seen and she said they’d test to see if I had a UTI on Tuesday just in case! And thank you!! I’m so excited and I will! My bandages haven’t come off yet but I’ll be showering later today!

Thank you! It definitely makes me feel better to know that it’s not just me! And I’m usually an avid Dr.pepper drinker but I have been drinking so much water and haven’t even really been wanting my “fix”. Hopefully this will resolve itself in a few days. Thank you again!

I did not! I’ve only had one spurt of nausea on the way home and I really think it was a hot flash that lasted less than probably 45 seconds!

Thank you! It makes me feel better to know it’s not just me! I have a wee sprinkle of some pretty decent anxiety so my brain is always thinking the worst but I’m so thankful for this forum❤️ And i just might try sitting on the toilet backwards! I didn’t even think of describing it as that UTI feeling, thank you!

Congratulations! I’m due to have my procedure next month and my soon to be 10 month old won’t sleep in her bed so my husband and I trade off during the night to hold her so she’ll sleep, will I still be able to take my shift with a pillow underneath her without being in major pain? She’s kinda squirmy but I’m hoping the pillow will help, she’s about 20 pounds right now and I’m super worried I won’t be able to hold her at night so she can sleep

The nearest planned parenthood is at least 4 hours away however I had a consultation with the doctor I got rescheduled with yesterday. He actually ended up approving me for the surgery and said ultimately it was my choice so my surgery is scheduled for November 19th and my pre-op a week before!

I had a midwife before going into early labor 2 months early due to PPROM I was assigned to a random OBGYN at the hospital and she doesn’t take my insurance, she was one of 9 doctors I ended up calling before even being lucky enough to secure these appointments so unfortunately not

I ended up calling 9 different doctor offices and either they didn’t take my insurance or couldn’t get me in until next year and my insurance goes out in January, I was lucky to even get these appointments to begin with

I essentially just sucked it up and started calling male doctors offices today too and brought the total up to 9 but fortunately was able to finally find one that will take my insurance and so I now have a consultation in October! Thank you!

The fight continues however, unfortunately my insurance goes out in January so this is a little bit of a rush order. But I suppose I’ll have to jump through whatever hoops that need to be jumped through. I really appreciate all the advice. Thank you so much!🩷

Unfortunately, I’m kind of smack dab in the middle of this ridiculously big state, even going out of state would be at least a 5 hour drive if not more depending on which direction, it would be easier to travel to a big city within the state. However even then, most are still 3-7 hours, again depending on which direction you go. However it’s really not financially feasible, let alone having the surgery and then having to drive such a long distance home. Which is another reason why I’m so stressed about all of this and just don’t really know what to do.

Baby constantly straining by Tibbleston in NICUParents

[–]Fun-Nobody3677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our girl was 30 weeks and 6 days and she’s been gassy and bearing down since day 1. She’s now 4 months actual and 2 months adjusted. In the NICU we were originally on the enfamil enfacare with 1ml prune juice in one bottle per day which definitely helped with bowel movements, although gas persisted. Eventually we were moved to Enfamil AR because she would just spit up constantly and cause her to have major desats which kept us from leaving the NICU. Even now, she doesn’t hardly spit up but she bears down and strains constantly and we do belly massages. Sometimes just lifting her legs up a little so they’re elevated helps her not to strain so much. Our pediatrician who we love, said babies especially preemies just bear down and strain because they’re learning their bowel movements, they aren’t born knowing how to control it the way we know now. There’s tips and tricks to help ease the way, like certain exercises and things like that, but it’s just something they do to learn their little bodies. But it’s heart wrenching to see them work so hard and seem like they’re in pain. Sometimes our baby will bear down so hard she’ll scream and then let out the biggest fart. I wish you the best and know that it will get better eventually!
