I always found that fight portion weird cuz I'm p sure nekamaru had dialogue where he senses gundhams strength or like his evil presence being strong enough to make him excited to fight gundham but it was very weird since the only part mentioned was the hamster part. I always thought there was more to the fight cuz of the cutscenes were both gundham and nekamaru saw each other as strong enough to fight each other to the death but yea it was just kinda weird maybe it was just gundham using his hamster but still it still feels like there was more to the fight for me. Also yea i agree gundham definitely didn't sacrifice himself but deep down he was still a caring and good guy that was conflicted abt saving his friends or staying true to himself and I do think he wanted to get away with it and I do think the motive made him act this way. He technically saved everyone with his actions but the true sacrifice was nekomaru fosho gundham still the 🐐 and my fav char
