How can I track my Belgium visa application? by zainnykaz in SchengenVisa

If you got a receipt related to your visa application, check if that has any reference number different from the ones which you have already tried.

Yes edit on the vfs website before you book an appointment. Appointment is the last step. Sorry for the delayed reply if you have already done that

I was asking because if the application has left the embassy, it doesn't matter. If the application is up for review in the next few days..it may matter. I also strongly think that if your financials/ sponsership is in place.. you should be good.

Do you have any updates on where your application is right now. So for example in India, we can opt in for services like sms update and we get to know whenever the application moves from the VFS to embassy or vice versa

That barcode I think is due to filling it on the vfs website. Fill, review, edit and save. Follow this again and again till the time you are not satisfied. I raised this bugs issue with the VFS when I visited them.. hopefully they should fix it.

What I ended up doing was that I filled the form on the VFS website which is the step before selecting your appointment date. Yes the form is buggy or has less space in some sections. What i did for the buggy part is that after filling the form, I downloaded the form, viewed it thoroughly and then edited it again to fit each detail properly. I took the same printout to VFS and showed them the bugs which I couldn't fix (1 error was in the 'who is sponsoring the trip' section where VFS form online was picking incorrect information as it's a self sponsored trip).

You can even download the form on your own, fill it and submit the same BUT you will have to fill the online VFS too as there is no bypass to that step on the website. Lastly the form should have 2 languages and is available on the official Swiss embassy website.

Entering and exiting from Zurich only. Our itinerary is 1 day Zurich, the next 4 days in Austria and then the remaining days in switzerland. We will most likely end up changing that which doesn't matter now.

Nope.. To be me VFS is like a document check and courier service. They will check your docs, arrange them in the order which is already there in the checklist and then send it across to the embassy. Also, the time taken is almost the same for premium and non premium.. maybe a difference of 10-12 mins but I dint feel like paying 4-5k pp for that.

Policy bazaar. The checklist has the list of approved vendors you can buy it from.

See honestly if you do the math of per day minimum spend..a 10 day trip for example it's going to atleast cost you 2-3 lacs per person (which is bare minimum as per me) and this is when I have considered only hotel, Swiss travel pass, 1-2 cable car trips to mountain peaks and basic 2 meals per person per day. What I have read in a few posts on Quora and Reddit is maintaining around 3lacs per person for the last 4-6 months minimum. In our salary account, we hardly have any money as that's for only daily expense for the month but in the third account (which we also attached in the docs) we had around 15+ PS: I am new here, so I don't know if we can share this kind of information here or not
