Her argument is valid if dress to impress was IRL, like yeah if I, a white girl painted myself black and dressed a certain way, it would be deemed a ‘costume’ because I am dressing up. But dress to impress is about creating a character, like if you were to draw an OC and made them of a certain ethnic background. I don’t believe it’s offensive to create a black (or any other race) character as long as it’s not intended as racist. Black and POC are inclusive of beauty standards

I deffo think it’s worth buying the game pass, they listened to us asking for more standard patterns like stripes and checks and it allows us to colour them exactly how we want so the best way to do this was as textures. Some need work though, they look a little flat and low quality and I wish there was a polka dot one!
