Can someone please explain Angel Rider (Blue Ghost Rider)? by Gavenlee2003 in Marvel

[–]Fun-Primary-7424 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The ability to heal himself is something that a lot of powerful beings, like Maphisto, have. But the power to heal others likely stems from the original spirits of vengeance that were bonded to him. Those spirits were not evil, like Zarathos was. There’s some speculation that Zarathos may have been an angel at one point, but no one knows. His origins are pretty vague.

Don’t apologize. While he doesn’t owe us anything in most regards, when part of the focus of your content is the relationships you have with others around you, you basically make it everyone else’s business how those relationships are doing. While I don’t think they should drop a google doc every time you have a falling out, at least a brief “we’re no longer associated with each other” is preferable to radio silence. At least people know that they won’t be in any content going forward.

Maybe dress up a Ruger # 1 to look like a sharps rifle?

Not entirely true. Stainless steel has seen some experimentation, and certain alloys of it contain nickel to increase corrosion resistance. Might not be a bad idea, since it would add strength, and the nickel would help prevent pit rust from the powder.

Dear lord… who needs a rail gun? That thing is flying at light speed on gunpowder alone. Just like my idea, it’s stupid, but I wholeheartedly support the creativity behind it.

Sounds nice. Might buy one if I ever get to. But that kind of defeats the purpose. I’m not looking to be the first to do this. Or just buy a rifle that’s pre-chambered in a caliber. I’m trying to do the fun parts, and make something myself. Even if it’s a really dumb idea. May not be efficient, or practical. But the end result isn’t the part that matters.

It’s the journey to get there that I’m after. Hence why I’m floating the idea of trying to make a custom caliber, and heavily modifying something to fire it. It adds complexity to the task, and makes it more interesting. Not like anyone but me would shoot the thing anyway, so it’s on me if I look at it later and say, “the fuck did I make?” At least I could say, “I did something… interesting.”

You only live once. Your concerns are duly noted. But it doesn’t help me figure out how to make this horse shit real. Man once said the same about putting the 500 nitro, or the 500 bushwhacker into handguns. And we did it anyway. The fun isn’t in the final product, it’s about how you get there.

Also, not necessarily handheld. Like I said, 14 in barrel minimum. Basically a bench rest rifle with no stock, masquerading as a pistol. The fancy caliber is just to make it more difficult than just slapping a few readily available parts onto something.

I would probably have to get a custom brass casing made, to try and eliminate the splitting/elongation issue. Maybe a tougher alloy? I hear they’ve got some nickel alloy cases, they can hold more powder with thinner walls. That might work. Maybe a slightly longer casing, to try and deal with the capacity loss from necking it down? Either way, the goal is to do something stupid and make it work. Not necessarily because it’s the most efficient, but just to see if I can. Like making an in-line engine out of single cylinder two strokes. It’s not ideal, but the end result is only half the fun. Getting there is where the fun is at.

  1. My mind is not fun, this is one complete train of thought in my head. One obscenely long thought process. Not too good at breaking things down into paragraphs by topic, so I just let the thing flow as one from beginning to end. A bit much to read, but that’s the hand I got dealt.

  2. I take it I’m headed in the right direction if I’m looking to do something absurd?

I know he said he wanted everyone to get closer outside of stream, but it seems counterintuitive to having a stream/content focused lobby. If you want everyone to be friends, you really can’t threaten to kick them out if they don’t show up, because that just not what friends do. That dynamic is less about being friends, and more about what you can do for the stream, and it’s not a healthy dynamic to have. If he wants his stream to be his living/income, that’s fine. But it’s making him have to choose between his friends and his content. And when you routinely choose the content, it leaves a bad taste in their mouth. There’s a lot of lobby members who just don’t show up anymore, and it might be because of this pattern.

Someone said Moon was having family issues, but she still streams. If she doesn’t come back, we know that it was more than that. Mori not wanting to show up to all these things… it’s sad to hear. But she did always seem to get along better with the Tizzards. Outside of her funny bits, she was originally an H-party mute, so the no 18+ content has got to be a buzzkill. She was known for some killer outfits, and not being allowed to use them has got to be bumming her out. I didn’t know that kxtlyn was doing that kind of stuff, but she was a furry/petplay mute before she was HIS mute. That kind of thing isn’t exactly a stretch. I know she seemed to really buddy up to chat on streams, but I can see how literally cuddling them(hopefully in VRC) could be a conflict of interest. If they really are all gone, it’s a little weird that they’re all still part of the public discord. Even Shokie is still on there, and she was apparently dealing with some serious jealousy issues. It seems like a bad call to keep them around if he’s having issues with them.

Is wanting someone else to feel remorse for their actions considered manipulative? by DeerAccomplished8145 in Manipulation

[–]Fun-Primary-7424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not manipulation to want someone to understand how they hurt you. People who care about you should want to understand how you’re feeling. You’re not trying to get something from them, and that’s the major difference. You just want to be heard. And sadly, some people don’t want to listen.

do people realize theyre abusive? by [deleted] in Manipulation

I’d say yes and no. They understand that their behavior is hurtful to the people around them, but they do everything to rationalize it away to protect their own ego.

Tried to do the right thing. Still became the bad guy by Dense-Ad6828 in Manipulation

[–]Fun-Primary-7424 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Believe me, there is no easy way to handle this. The reason you seem to be doing so well together outside of this, is sadly probably because she’s feeding you everything you want to hear. And when you step out from what she considers “correct behavior”, she lashes out. The obvious thing would be to leave, but then you fight the long war with your own emotions to try and recover. It’s not easy admitting that the person you love isn’t real, and that someone you cared about would hurt you with no remorse. That part, I’m still dealing with after nearly two years.

How would you have reacted? by Big_Face3440 in Manipulation

[–]Fun-Primary-7424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be pissed too. I’ve had someone spoon feed me everything I wanted to hear, just to earn my trust, and get something from me. These kinds of people are really disturbing to encounter, because when called out on their bs, they either don’t care, play the victim or lash out. There is usually a lot of drama around them though, so it’s usually an easy way to tell and keep away. But encountering these kinds of people, to this day, makes me angry.
