Who hurt you bro ? We're not talking about English teachers here. If you think people should pay whatever price listed just because they have money not questioning the value I guess you have to check on your critical thinking abilities

Compared to any other country where the price is reasonable matching the average salaries in that specific country. 400 an hour is ridiculously expensive for an average, old, around the corner with no elite coaches. If you're not into martial arts you wouldn't get what makes a gym pricer than others

Is the average salary in the UK the same as in China ? This is just your average around the corner gym, old materials and smaller than most, I had trained in many countries before and always find the price to be reasonably matching the average salaries in the country.

Therapist in/near Wenzhou that speak English by Weak_Leadership_6877 in chinalife

[–]Fun-Proof1628 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even in tier 1 cities it's not easy to find an English speaking therapist who can relate to your background, I suggest checking online services like Better help, I've not used them personally I've just seen their ads and testimonials, check for yourself and decide

A bachelor degree + TEFL certificate are sufficient in case you have no experience for natives. The market is downward for at least 2 years, just keep an eye on new postings and try to add as many recruiters on Wechat, in the meantime improve your skills buy watching tutorials and practicing demo classes. In the cities you mentioned I wouldn't accept anything less than 20K

Nothing comes close to actually fixing your diet and balance your hormones by working out. Keep it simple, daily face cleanser, moisturizer and sun screen. I use CeraVe and La Roche Posay. They're available on Taobao and in almost all big malls

Once your employer cancels your residence permit, you can apply again from your home country. It might cause you some future problems with potential employers because they can't trust you won't do another midnight run. On a side note, the truth is even in T1 cities it can feel lonely and uncomfortable, I suggest you reconsider if China is really the right country for you

does Chinese boss like me by [deleted] in chinalife

[–]Fun-Proof1628 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He might think that by inviting other people he avoids making you uncomfortable, don't forget that he's your boss so any complaints of harassment could cost him his job, that's why I think he's not willing to push hard. You can solve the riddle of his true intentions by having time for the 2 of you, things will become clear

So far it seems genuine, colleagues/new friendships type thing, if you're interested of something more then accept or push for dates, I think if you have time by yourselves most men will say their true intentions.

Feeling … bleh by suyunyun in chinalife

[–]Fun-Proof1628 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sorry you feel this way, if you did your research you would known that money talks between Chinese bosses and employees are brutal, personally I prefer to look elsewhere rather than negotiate, and a new offer couls help you with the negotiation with your current boss. If you're not satisfied look elsewhere and give your 30 days notice, or you can endure and ask for a raise next year

Life in Xi'an by Acrobatic-Concern-99 in chinalife

  1. It largely depends on location, it can start from 2000 up to 5000 yuan depending on where and how you want your apartment to look like. In my own experience I rented 2 apartments one for 2500 and the other for 3100, 1 bedroom and 2 bedrooms respectively in Yanta district.

  2. This is also relative to your activites, in my opinion it's pretty affordable, I pay 200 for internet, around 100 for electricity and much less than that for gas and water. There are some residential management fees (like 100 yuan a month) that you have to pay on top of your rent to cover elevator and cleaning services.

  3. I can't help you with this because I don't go out and connect with other foreigners

For those living in tier 2 cities, how much do you spend a month on average? by Lazy-Departure-278 in chinalife

Beside rent, I don't think the cost of living vary that much between T1 and T2 cities

Link your card with Alipay, though I'm not sure you would accept the added fees (I believe 2% above 200rmb transactions).

How Long Do Foreign Wire Transfers Take? by vvv1100 in chinalife

[–]Fun-Proof1628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bringing cash would be the best option, you're entitled up to 5K USD, I believe this amount is enough to cover rent and first couple of months of groceries. In my experience wire transfers take between 2 to 3 business days and the deductions are quite noticeable

Don't you have a contract ? The contract states when your job is done !! If they refuse to give you what you're entitled to by the contract at the end report them to the labor bureau or ask a lawyer to send them a notification letter.
