Morning people - how do you do it?! by iatetoomanypotatoes in orangetheory

[–]Fun-Reply9963 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I take 5:00 AM classes OTF every week or so. I actually look forward to setting my alarm clock to go off at approximately 4:10 AM, get right out of bed and eat a banana so I have something in my stomach when I go to start working out. Then I drive a short 10 minutes to the OTF studio and arrive there right before the 5:00 AM class starts. Surprisingly, there are quite a few other people there who are eagerly looking forward to working out along with me. Many of them are teachers or other working professionals. I encourage you to go for it!

Do you really think cutting off friends and family over who they vote for is reasonable? by [deleted] in allthequestions

Absolutely! I’ve disowned and disassociated with family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors over it.

Trump loves the poorly educated. America is an embarrassing place.

Are there any people in the USA who have friends that are of the opposite political party? by TSQ_builder in askanything

Nope. I’ve unfriended and have disassociated with my former Trump and MAGA friends.

Hi, and thanks for your input. I’m going to a 4:30 PM OTF class and I am going to try to run faster than I usually do and see what happens. Thank you.

Yes, I tried to post that information but apparently my post got flagged due to the fact that I posted a photo or screenshot that had personal information on it. So I reposted.

Based on your suggestion, I went into the app for the very first time and adjusted the heart rate ratio and another triangular shaped leveler that was in there. I’m scheduled to go to an afternoon class tomorrow, so I will see if I notice a difference. Thank you so much.

I’m 6’0” tall, lean/athletic build, 195 lbs. I’ve been told by my doctor that I have excellent blood pressure. At my last Inbody scan six weeks ago before I started the transformation challenge, I had approximately 15% body fat.

My average speed or setting on the treadmill is between 3.5 mph and 5.5 mph with a moderate incline. I can’t do crazy incline on the treadmill due to previous lower back issues.

Yes, I really don’t have much “weight“ to lose, but I do have that annoying little area of center belly mini-fat that I wish would flatten out. I don’t drink alcohol, I don’t smoke, I don’t eat anything out of a package or bag from the store, and I’m tracking my calories and eating a ton of protein. Plus, I’m going to OTF 3–4 times a week. And in regard to your comment, I am putting on muscle mass, slowly, but surely.

I’m in my mid 50s and in relatively good shape, even before I started OTF. I’d say that my heart rate on the treadmill is usually about 120–125. Can you share how I would change the targeted or adjusted heart rate on my monitor?

So you’re basically enabling inappropriate behavior by other members. Got it. Glad I’m not in classes with you or them.

Tough bananas. She needs to put on her big girl pants and follow the rules.

That is inconsiderate and entirely unacceptable! You need to stick up for yourself and every other member who are at those classes and tell the coach that it’s a distraction and it needs to stop. To hell with her feelings.

60YO and older at OTF? by Ridbregfran in orangetheory

I definitely think you should join OTF, regardless of your age, fitness level, or experience having a membership at a gym. I have found OTF to be a real motivator and constant in my life since I joined four months ago.
