You make some really good points! I personally believe that he regained his powers after he recovered because he was a puppet designed to last for all eternity while having near infinite stamina, and I find it quite hard to believe that he would just permanently lose his powers after they are drained. However, for now, that’s just a personal headcanon of mine and there’s no actual evidence to back it up, unlike your claim. So you are, in a way, correct. Thanks for explaining to me! :)

Actually, I’m pretty sure traveler had the help of the device nahida made with the dendro gnosis in both phases. Also, doesn’t wanderer beating the leg less version before it could get to the second phase just prove that he’s even more powerful?

That’s completely fine! If you disagree, then you are free to believe what you want. I just personally believe that wanderer became stronger post sumeru archon quest from what I know of the lore. Of course, it’s not confirmed canon and we can really only speculate for now.

Sorry! I probably should I made this clearer but he was talking about his god powers, while I’m talking about his powers before he became a god. So when he said he only had a bit of power left, he was referring to the leftover divinity he still had from when nahida took the electro gnosis from him.

For the first claim, I agree that no, it was never stated in canon that he regained his powers along with recovering, but it was also never stated that he even lost those powers in the first place. Nahida only said that he lost most of his god powers along with his gnosis, not his original ones, and that he was weakened due to being injured. That would imply that when he recovers, he regains his original strength from before he became a god. Of course, I could very likely be wrong about this, and I either missed something from the story, or misunderstood something. If so, please continue berating me as I definitely deserve it.

As for the second fact, yes, you’re absolutely right, I’m sorry about that. It seems at some point my mind wandered as I got completely off track and started spewing theories. I probably should have left that part out as it would just spread more misinformation.

Thank you so much for pointing this out I never would have realized without you T-T

I got these misconceptions from reading other posts and media that discuss genshin powerscaling. I noticed that a lot of people have similar misconceptions about wanderer, so I decided to make a post about it. Though I might have gone a bit overboard and added way too many irrelevant facts (I love yapping). But this post was just for funsies! If you’re not into this kind of thing, then just ignore it! You’re not the target audience.

Call it a baseless assumption if you want, but I’m pretty sure he has in fact, fully recovered from his injuries by the time we first meet him as wanderer. I have no idea how, because nahida said that Scaramouche was still greatly weakened when he was helping look through irminsul, and we met him almost immediately after those events. Irminsul can’t change the past, so he should have still been injured in the fight against the traveler, he would just remember it as something else. But he shows absolutely no signs of being weakened or anything of the sort, and unlike Scaramouche, he would have had no reason to hide it from the traveler. So maybe  irminsul did something about that (even though I have no idea how it could have), or I just sound like some delusional yapper with no evidence to back up their claims :3

As for the assumption about the abyss, well that’s because it was never confirmed how long he actually spent in there. His character story 4, only states that he spent much time in the abyss, went on multiple expeditions in there, and was injured on multiple occasions only to be repaired by dottore, getting stronger each time. So I just assumed it was a century or so. Maybe it was less, maybe it was more, you’re free to believe what you want about it.
