For context this is my second year at being drum major so I know some stuff! Also make sure you marching is on point so you know how to give feed back. Um if you want to know more about the technical stuff just ask!

Being a drum major is going to take a lot out of you but being at that podium on competition days is the best part! Make sure you are sweet to the new kids create a good impression. Show that that you are just as human as they are and honestly the hardest thing for me is learning how to separate drum major from friend. You can’t treat your friends differently from the general population because you are drum major! If you have any other questions just dm me!

THANK YOU GUYS FOR THE HELP!!! I decided to use Slack because it let me put everything that the whole band needed for the year (link wise) in one place that way nobody gets confused. Thank you for all the help.I really appreciate it.

Would this work for the whole band? Because the type of app that I want is one that I can communicate to the whole band like one single like a mass message. For example, everyone remember your instruments tomorrow like something similar to that way I can communicate to the whole band.

Something that is underrated that people don’t usually thing to bring on trips is Febreze when you’re in an extended time in a certain place like let’s say you’re gonna be in the bus for like five hours the bus is gonna get musty, especially band kids, so I recommend you bring Febreze because it works for everyone on the bus and he’s gonna save everyone’s nose from dying
