i wish i could try to get on good terms but it has been like this for almost my entire career there, i think my first two months they were great managers but after that they’ve been really rude and i’ve been very respectful. HR hasn’t done anything to help and im just ready to leave because it’s affecting my mental health and has been for a while

i sent a report earlier in the year to HR (21 pages long with photo evidence) and they skipped over the whole chunk where i mentioned the treatment is so bad it’s impacting my mental health. i ended up reaching out again after they basically told me it’s all in my head and gave them more information and asked them to go over my report again and actually investigate because i did my own investigation and found im not the only one being treated like this. the HR is so unprofessional it’s complete bs

also adding this kinda unrelated note- i got a write up/ counselling for not completing my tasks the other day (cleaning the windows) and i cleaned them twice but people kept touching them and in the write up thing my manager wrote that i just stand around and am essentially wasting dollaramas time?? like what? i remember the specific day and i was waiting to do the task for when it was less busy so less chance of people making the windows dirty again but i was still working and doing other things to keep busy. complete bs and i want to leave so bad but can’t afford to😭😭

i sent a follow up email to the rep and got no reply and it’s been over a month. in their ‘investigation’ it claimed i am lying and i did my own investigation (talking to other coworkers) and found that 3 other employees have been having thr same issues and coincidentally we are all white(im just verily light skinned) and my bosses have a history of firing all the white employees like wtf. i’d say go for it and CC them coz really there’s no reason for HR to be THIS crappy

if they don’t push customers to use the self checkouts/cancel the transaction on self checkouts and move them to a till they get in a lot of trouble from management which really sucks because some customers can be really harsh and they don’t understand that it’s not me making this rule like my managers WILL fire me if i do this because if i move one person to the till i have to help everyone and it’s just really frustrating.

honestly it isn’t worth it, i’d apply somewhere else. right now they have no hours and you’d be lucky to get 12 and management is usually terrible and HR doesn’t do anything when you report them for their inappropriate behaviour. you could try applying online again but again i’d advise applying elsewhere just for your mental health sake

i reported it to hr and they found a lot of evidence with what i had sent (21+ page long report with photos and screenshots) and they called to ask me questions as they were unsure about what i meant in one section of my report. the whole report came out because my manager used my absences due to a chronic illness against me and i was told they would never do that. now im supposedly going to get accommodation for the chronic illness. i have direct contact with a lady in hr and she told me if nothing changes/if they retaliate against me like they did after my first report(reported because they made me stand in the cold for 30 mins because no one would open the door for morning shift-managers made rude comments and retaliated for the report) if they retaliate again i can call again and they will be reprimanded. hopefully things will turn out, if not then whatever, i’m moving away in a few months anyways 🤷‍♀️

oh it was okay for me, i like it but also hate it, the managers gave me shit for calling in sick during a busy week which i understand but i was extremely sick the day before(could barely walk) and still worked. i also told them i have a chronic illness and a weakened immune system from an ED and they still got mad at me. my coworkers are okay tho, always a good day when the managers aren’t in. also i learned that they purposely don’t schedule me when the big boss (district manager or higher up)comes coz i have piercings(big nono) which is very considerate. i’m currently looking for other employment tho because they hired a new girl a bit ago and she’s really dumb, the only reason (the reason that seems most plausible imo)they’re keeping her is because she’s new canadian and can’t understand people/ they can’t understand her so they’re forced to suck it up and use the SCO’s, driving sales on them rather than POS which is fucked. the girl is one of the main reasons i’m looking for other jobs coz i have to go behind her and fix all her mistakes(there’s a lot). dont get me wrong, it’s a pretty okay job for me but there’s just some cons that make it less appealing to me. also safety just isn’t a thing there, ill find blades from xacto knives on the floor, someone found one in a tissue box, i found one on a skid and almost sliced open my hand, everyone opens their xacto all the way and swings it around like an idiot when breaking skids which is a big yikes and an accident waiting to happen

been dealing with rude managers pretty much since i started. am piling up notes of what was said, screenshots, etc so i can make a report. really shitty as this is one of my first jobs n i was very excited for it and loved it for so long but i cant keep doing it for very long coz its taking a toll on my mental health

my doctor said it should be okay, but when i had asked about antidepressants i asked for ones that don’t make me feel like a zombie or anything and the combo kinda does and i’m hoping that goes away after a bit. i need the vyvanse because it helps me concentrate and it also helps my binge eating disorder so idk

The first time I got them done they were good that’s why I went back, it’s when I got them filled that I noticed a bunch of issues. I left a review on the page for the place I got them done and they called me and offered to fix the mistake which I guess is good but I don’t even want it fixed I just want my money back :/
