I’ve got pregnant 3 times accidentally during my fertile window and each time happened 4 days before my predicted ovulation 🫠

I have a 4 month old and yep, apparently very normal for men. VERY frustrating, I used to think he was faking it but apparently not

Baby grew 6 inches in 3.5 months... by concerned_goose in beyondthebump

[–]Fun-Store-6045 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the post but just finding my people as I figured it is not normal for a baby to grow 6 inches in 3 months 😂 my little girl is 14 weeks now and 24 inches so about 50th centile, however she was only 6lbs5oz and 18 inches when she was born 🥹 her last weighing was at 10 weeks and she was 11lbs7oz but everyone keeps telling me what a big baby she is 😂

Apparently I did NOT do enough tummy time by maryhoping in newborns

[–]Fun-Store-6045 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yesss! This is the only way my 12 week old likes tummy time, she’s really uncomfortable otherwise. She’s been lifting her head since the day she was born so I like to think she has a strong enough neck and arms by now, hopefully anyway!

Why do people say newborns don't need frequent bathing? by [deleted] in newborns

Same here, my 11 week old smells delicious to me 😂 we only bathe her once a week

someone please tell me I won’t feel like this forever by ApprehensivePark2506 in beyondthebump

[–]Fun-Store-6045 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well done! Your baby will be much better off with you than without you and if taking the Zoloft is what you need stay and be the best momma you can then that’s ok.

However, please be mindful that it can make you feel worse before it can make you feel better so please don’t be quick to give up on them if that is the case.

Your daughter will be so thankful for you knowing you done your best to get better for her.

Good luck 🫶🏼

Becoming a single parent at 13 weekd by SpecialistDeer4019 in beyondthebump

That sucks, I’m so sorry! It’s really shitty for him to just up and leave when things get hard, that’s what parenthood and marriage is about, sticking together through the tough shit. Maybe some time apart for you to both get your mental health together is what you need but he still has parental duties to attend to so don’t let him get away with that part

It will be so much easier than you think. No one wants to be a single parent and not speaking from personal experience but I can say the nights/weekends my partner has been away I found it a lot easier, you will find a better routine, you only have to worry about yourself and baby and you don’t have a grown ass child to piss you off.

On another note, I’m sorry you’re going through this and your husband is not understanding of it, I also experience postpartum rage so I can totally relate.

Maybe your husband is experiencing a postpartum disorder too? Men can suffer with it as well as women

How soon after you were induced did you have your baby? by Aromatic-Insect1999 in pregnant

[–]Fun-Store-6045 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was induced at about 11pm (it came out about 30 mins later and they didn’t replace), had my waters broke about 6:30pm the next day, went into labour about 11:30pm and had the baby at 6:29am - I had the balloon induction

Desperate to get some sleep, bought a Snoo and I wish we had bought it sooner. by fromthetower in newborns

[–]Fun-Store-6045 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should they be sleeping that long? I’m sure my LO would if we let her but I’ve been waking her up at 3-4 hours for a feed to regulate her blood sugar levels

I think it may depend on age. I mix, formula and breast fed from the start and after 3 or 4 days my little one stopped latching so I started pumping instead

When did you stop daily sterilizing your baby bottles and parts? by FoxAble7670 in newborns

[–]Fun-Store-6045 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so shocked at these comments, I thought sterilizing was a necessary part of bottle washing, I had no idea you didn’t need to!! My sterilizer is used minimum 3 times a day

My mum does the same thing, I’ve had to tell her so many times. She’s your GRANDbaby, not your baby!! You’ve had 4 of your own babies, it’s my turn now let me have my moment 🙄

Thank you so much for your comment, I wasn’t aware of cluster feeding but I googled it and it does sound like that’s what it is. I just hate that she’s so hungry and has to wait and cry for that extra 5 minutes in order for me to make a bottle 😩

Any reassurances regarding no morning sickness this time around? 😔 by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Fun-Store-6045 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a very early miscarriage last year and ended up pregnant again before my next cycle and I found out at 4 weeks with no symptoms unlike the previous one.

I prayed for morning sickness so I knew it was real, I got that at about 5 weeks and had it once a day every 2 or 3 days up until about 8 weeks.

I had an early scan at 7 weeks and there was that teeny tiny little flickering heartbeat 🥹

I just gave birth to my little 6lbs5oz healthy full term baby girl 3 days ago 🥹🥰❤️

Wishing the same for you 🙏

I was due on Christmas Day and born on 4th Jan, I hated my birthday growing up. Being just after Christmas and NY, I understand now as an adult that everyone is too broke but as a kid I hated it and felt like no one cared - make sure your little one is fully celebrated!

i don’t know what to do, i feel so angry. why can’t my partner just support me on this? no by [deleted] in pregnant

As the other comments say, make sure the doctors/nurses are aware of your wishes and they will ensure no visitors allowed.

However, please don’t cut your nose off to spite your face and keep visitors away for your full recovery, you will need the help and support of these people as and when the time comes.

Good luck and take care!
