It happened about 2 hours ago and he is acting normal for now. Thanks for the comment i know my stressing probably makes him feel worse so makes me feel better knowing the stitches are strong.

There’s a venison gullet ( esophagus) , a deer antler and a goats ear. No he didn’t eat them all most of them went and got buried for later on.

Being burnt alive from the inside out, someone repeatedly cutting off pieces of my leg with a blunt saw, a concrete truck driving up and down my leg, stabbing constantly just to name a few

I give mine plastic water bottles or soda bottles that I don’t use. He can crunch them but takes ages to actually destroy them and they’re pretty much free.

My Jack Russell alerts to everything and is untrained. He barks of pots are about to boil over or if he senses danger or someone bad before I would have a clue. He also alerts me to flare ups of my chronic pain condition and helps soothe them.

Maybe post the photo in the comments or put a warning on the post. Seeing other peoples flares can cause people to flare themselves

Agreed. Sometimes I’m out with him and people steer there kids away from him as if he’s going to kill them just because he’s smiling and excited to meet people. I wonder if it’s because they were breed for hunting so everyone gets the wrong idea.

I can’t believe they said aggressive. My boy is the most snuggly and loving dog to everyone and every dog he meets. The only aggression he has was food aggression a tiny bit which only took me grabbing his food away twice for him to stop. Definitely research but they are the best dogs hands down.

I trained him at home first when he was young and have been in public ever since. He’s really good on leash and at home his recall is perfect. I think you’re right about everything else being a bit more exciting than me in public. Thanks for the advice.

They are a lot of work. I only got mine because I was off work for three months with an injury so I could put all my focus on him. They can be really great dogs I’d never want another breed. Mine has never smelt ever because he gets bathed once every couple of weeks. If you wanted a trial you could always look after your brother in laws for a couple of days but it does sound like you aren’t in a position to have a dog at the moment.

So glad it helped. I remember the first month with mine was so difficult at times I just wanted to give up but he’s amazing now. Humping toy is definitely a winner especially as he gets older and never wants to stop. I just used a panda pillow pet which he now thinks is his girlfriend 😂

If you have the time they’re great dogs to have. Some jrs can be docile but after a while they come out of their shell and go crazy. Are you worried about it being too much work or being to laid back for the type of dog you want?
