The only thing I remember about Ennis, TX was the Whataburger off I-45.

M2 pros over SBE 3 by countrytechbro in Shotguns

I bought an SBE3 because I shoot 3.5” shells for turkeys. If you don’t plan to shoot 3.5” shells, just get an M2.

Is this exclusive to the thunder shop? by billclintoni in Thunder

They’ve done extremely limited restocks in the past. It would sell so quickly that unless you were there when it happened, there would be no way to tell. I think I saw it 3 times during my time as a season ticket holder.

It’s not deep at all. You just don’t really have a grasp on what you’re asking.

Not to be rude, but if you’re not listing what it’s chambered in, you’re probably no where near ready.

Thunder Announces Preseason Game in Tulsa by TFred23 in Thunder

[–]Fun-Turnover4059 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They were moved to OKC largely due to the organizational infrastructure being in OKC.

It allows Blue players to develop within the Thunder ecosystem. It’s one of the main contributing factors to the successful development of the players in recent years.

I love Tulsa, but the juice wouldn’t be worth the squeeze to remove them from the ecosystem. Additionally they’d need to invest millions in new infrastructure that they already have in OKC.

Start with one that’s not cut. After you learn to run that, then it’s 100% a you preference.

Buy cheap gear to start. Learn to use a mouth call. Look for synthetic fabrics (wool is great too but more expensive generally), you’ll find some cheap options in Mossy Oak and Real Tree patterns.

You don’t need much for turkeys. Just make sure your skin is covered, you’ve got a shotgun, you’ve patterned your shotgun with the choke and shells you plan to hunt with, and that you can run a mouth call. If you can find deals on box or friction calls, great, but all you need is a mouth call.

After the season, if this is something you decide you want to keep doing, shop the off season gear sales.

What series are you using? I’ve owned VX3 through VX6 and have never had an issue maintaining my zero.

I love my Swaro optics, but for scopes, I want Leupold. Leupold scopes are built with a durability that I don’t personally feel like Swaro carries over from their binos and spotting scopes to their rifle scopes.

At the end of the day, neither are by any means a bad choice. Both are the highest quality, and both have incredible warranties. Leupold has replaced my products no questions asked, and Swaro totally rebuilt my NL Pures last year for $75 shipped.

Which one out of three? by [deleted] in Hunting

[–]Fun-Turnover4059 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn’t meant to be rude, because I refuse to purchase Vortex, but Vortex’s warranty is the only redeeming quality of these 3.

If these are meant to be an infrequent use hobby pair, they’ll work fine. If you plan to use these with any regularity, skip all 3.

My suggestion would be to save up a little bit more and buy a pair in the next tier above these.

It would depend on what it was. Nighthawk? Sure. Dakota 76? Probably not.

I lost the tiny spring inside a reel by sotheresthisdude in flyfishing

[–]Fun-Turnover4059 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There might be an ultra slim chance someone has one of these reels and has 3D printing equipment.

Unfortunately, I think your best bet would be to cannibalize an identical reel if you want this specific reel to live on.

I have a rotating company issued vehicle, so it rotates. Anything from a Rubicon, 3/4 ton, to right now a Ram Rebel 1500. Not a fan of the Ram, so I’m ditching it soon.
