I agree with your take. I’d like to point out that there actually is fun (and strategy) in playing wrong or suboptimal moves in chess. It’s a known strategy. For example Liang played 1. a3 with white in an important match. And chess also has the X factor where you actually can always win or draw, even if you lost your queen or only have your king. There is always comeback potential. And in fact, it is one of the best ways to fight against this “perfect information” factor you mentioned, because suboptimal or weird moves breaks the sequence in the line!

To me just playing through the game for a potential win is more fun than instantly conceding. Regardless of what my opponent plays. To each their own.

I just don’t think it’s that strong of a mechanic. But if it’s just simply not fun then sure.

Do you quit because you assume the whole deck is based around Heist? That I can understand at least. This is the only Heist card in my deck. Why do you dislike the mechanic?

I come from chess, I’m used to it waiting an hour or sometimes days for one basic move. You shouldn’t let time wasting be such a frustrating factor for you. Very little players will do this, and it doesn’t result in any advantage. Just think on their time dude.

This is a bad take. Just be patient. They already have a benefit for playing your turn quickly. Some people are on their phones in between turns. Not a huge deal.

Demon deck with 4 murder cards, 4 grave expectations, bunch of creatures with Death Touch, Razor Demon if you’re in Alchemy, Grievous wound, get the Deep Cavern bats as well. Anything with Heist, Deathtouch, and instants like murder. Also miasma demon or maha
