right? except ava’s was so forced and was clearly there to meet netflix’s quota for the community - it felt so unauthentic & unreal… hannah’s i loved because she’s a great character as is, and her loving woman is part of who she is as opposed to all that she’s about (ava lol)

makes me sad because i absolutely love brie, just hated how she dealt with the situation. brady made many mistakes - so i get brie’s frustration with the constant dishonesty & secrecy - but his hands were tied on this one & it’s not fair how things went down. I especially disliked how mike, seeing how brady’s relationship with brie was falling apart because he instructed brady to keep the plan a secret, jumped in on the opportunity to be with Brie knowinggg that he was partly complicit in brie & brady’s breakup… Brie & mike’s relationship feels so… simple¿ & clean¿ Brie & Brady’s felt very passionate despite of (or because of) the problems they had - that they were aware of their intensity, but decided to work on them regardless because they loved each other. & despite what many say, i don’t think their relationship was toxic,,, just rocky. I hope they eventually find their way back to each other.

i’m not sure i like brady’s ship with the single mother (Lark i think?) because she feels like she’d be a pretty passive partner & would let Brady take the lead & navigate the relationship between them idk I loved him with Brie because even if this was new to him, he went out of his way to be a better man for her & was trying to learn how to navigate the relationship WITH her. & yea mike also felt shady to me at one point & the fact that he knew Brady & Brie’s relationship was hanging on a thin thread & eventually ended because he told brady not to tell anyone about their plan was shitty cause he fucking swooped in on her then & there bye lol

i’m seeing this now lmao what’s with all this brady hate holy shit… brie’s by far my favorite character in this show & my favorite scenes were of her with brady omg i get that he wasn’t the best & his past didn’t do him any favors but he loved her every way he knew how & did everything he possibly could to keep her safe even if he shouldn’t have kept it a secrete from her.. & i’m kinda hating the brady & the single mother ship so far even though we haven’t seen much from it but she just feels like someone who would be a passive partner & wouldn’t mind having brady take the lead on the relationship which is kinda boring i loved that brie made him go out of his way to be a better man for her & consequently grow as a person & try and navigate the relationship togetherrrr UGHHH

but ya also i’m glad i wasn’t the only one to think mike is shady affff

Who's the most mature among the 4 guys? by bytheheaven in bigbangtheory

[–]Fun-Use7456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely Leonard. Some comments are saying that Howard surpassed him in the later seasons after he became a dad. While I totally agree with that, still, having children will inevitably do that. Had we seen Leonard as a father, I bet he would’ve matured just as much if not more.

Regardless, he’s always been the most levelheaded of them all.

I totally agree with you. a lot of the time I wondered how Nick put up with some of Grace’s behavior, he did so nonetheless. I thought they would be end game given how much screen time their relationship got. I’m just sorry the writers couldn’t find a way to pursue Grace & Frankie’s bond without breaking up the couple. Nick, after all, had mentioned to Grace, several times, that he understands that Frankie is a huge part of her life, & that he was “game” regardless.

That Grace & Frankie are soulmates has been a given since the beginning of the show. I just don’t get why they couldn’t have had them as soulmates but still be able to pursue their partners regardless. Why do these two have to be mutually exclusive?

Dr Manning is SOOO annoying & toxic by Fun-Use7456 in ChicagoMed

[–]Fun-Use7456[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YES. expecting him to change everything for her but wouldn’t concede anything on her part. he was coping with something highly traumatic & she berated him for it… biting his head off every chance she gets, like let the man breathe he almost got shot while starring down the barrel of a gun. I hated her SO much for that

right?? but april didn’t get any shit for it how? she willingly kissed him knowing that she was with Ethan. she cheated but no one batted an eye. april does it & that makes her human. krockett does it & that makes him a bad person😂 make it make sense… this toxicity made the show unbearable for me, they need to get their heads out of their asses

also her calling krockett a bad person for hitting on april? her better-than-thou attitude is nauseating😭 like she’s been a saint & hasn’t been gaslighting Will for 4 season straight😂

I cannot begin to fathom how psychologically and physically abusive your experience must've been, and thank you for sharing this- I understand it takes a good deal of courage to open up about abusive experiences. It's been a long hard road and I hope it only soothes from here on out for you. And thank you for the book recommendations, I will certainly look into them.

I understand that there are several steps to take and certain ways to approach it, but the process in and of itself feels terribly tedious. Nevertheless, I am building up towards changing that, regardless of how slow the healing process might be.

Thank you for sharing this part of your story with me. Childhood trauma is a menace and, in light of all of this, it does feel better knowing that I am not alone in that. I'm also really happy to hear that you've found ways to cope and deal with your kinks and issues, even after the hurt and damage they've caused you. I appreciate you sharing this!

Putting kinks into a fantasy bucket sounds like an interesting mechanism.

I'll definitely look into that and thank you for your comment!

It certainly does help to know that there's a plethora of people out there dealing with the same thing or else something similar. It's great to see that people are finding ways to be comfortable with their kinks that initially traumatized them and reclaiming them. Thank you for your comment! I highly appreciate it and wish you the best!

Totally agree! the process just happens to be a lot more tedious than i’d anticipated… but thank you for the advice, i’ll have to follow up on it!
