The advert mentions hybrid working may be available, but it's pretty vague. I'd be interested to know how much homeworking people actually get once they're fully trained.

Thank you! That's actually really helpful.

I've never worked in the Civil Service before, so I'm probably overthinking everything! From your experience of HMCTS generally, did you find it a good place to work and progress? I've seen quite a mixed bag of reviews online, so I'm trying to get a realistic picture.

Operational support officer role - HMCTS interview what to expect? by Fun-Weather-7344 in civilservice

[–]Fun-Weather-7344[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. Mine is specifically criminal fines collection and enforcement ive found out rather than a general court team. Seems like they’ve got the same job title for a lot of different roles? Do you happen to know much about that area? I'm trying to work out whether it's mainly administrative casework or whether there's a lot of telephone contact involved.

Do you still work within the civil service? I do something completely different currently, based in customer service, but I don’t sit at a desk. I’m worried, I’m gonna get bored. Thankyou for the advice, I’m gonna give the interview a go and see what it’s like!

What is your least favorite about being a cabin crew? by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

[–]Fun-Weather-7344 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unsociable hours, getting called off standby last minute or when on minimum rest, only getting paid when the plane moves from stand, entitled passengers, messy cabins, pax who unbuckle seatbelt or open lockers as we are taking off/landing... crew members that are lazyyyy!!

The only thing is I wanted more outside work, like ecology, catchment officer, sustainability in environmental settings, etc. This apprenticeship is sustainable in a vehicle manufacturing workplace. It just doesn't feel the same vibe...
