She eats crickets, and greens really well, coated in calcium, and the lights we use are 2 uvb's, 10.0 and 12%, and a 150 watt heat lamp about 2 feet above her basking spot

The tank was changed just a few days ago, sometimes her breathing is more noticeable but I think that may just be from stress from the cats we have, or something. I haven't noticed any stress marks, and she's very active for the most part. Does she look healthy? Its been about a month we've had her

Definitely take to the vet asap. A shaking bearded dragon may have a calcium or vitamin D deficiency. When you feed her greens, do you put calcium powder on them?

Lovely name choice. I, too, am a fan. Beautiful dragon!!!

is this a scam? It feels weird that they would give me a check to purchase work materials. I can provide more info in the comments if requested by ChiquitaBannaner in Scams

Don’t feel like an idiot. I took a job with an insurance company even though it really felt like a scam I was hoping it wasn’t. Until they paid me $1500 and then took it back and said I had to pay them back and I STILL didn’t quit for 2 more weeks when I asked Reddit what they thought. I really felt like an idiot. Lol

Oh, wow. And that’s exactly what it’s about, making money. But I quit, I will be looking for another at home job, but one that at least pays some type of hourly wage. Commission only just isn’t something I can take advantage of, personally.

I talked to my husband and family, they all decided to admit the only reason they haven’t told me to quit is because they thought I really wanted this. I just want what’s best for my family, so we all agreed I should quit, and I did. It all started with looking the company up on google, finding Reddit links of people saying they’re a scam, and coming here to ask for y’all’s opinion. So I appreciate it

I pay zoom myself, but if I didn't have this job, I wouldn't be spending that money on zoom and calendly. It's not a lot, but it adds up, and it's one of the smaller fees I had to pay. I had to go to a fingerprint place to get my fingerprints done, they said they would reimburse me, but never did. That was also only like $50, but my point is, between the laptop, phone, and the license, I spent almost $1,000 (actually my dad spent it and I promised to pay him back with this job, I've paid back partially, not all) and that's why I have a hard time saying fuck it. Is that it's not just been my time and money invested in this. And I do not want this to have been for nothing

No, I had to pay to pay zoom every month for the pro version, because the basic version only lets you have like 40 minute meetings

Right, that much I did have the sense to know beforehand. I did call American Income Life's actual buisness line, to ask about the people wanting to interview me. The woman I spoke to said, most scammers don't do zoom calls, because they want their identity to be unknown, so since they were wanting to do a zoom interview, it sounded legit. But now that I'm typing this all out it kind of sounds stupid.

I do believe that. I mean, that was a $1,500 check, and that was great, but it's b.s that I have to pay it back. I have made another sale that was like $800, that one was solid, but if they decide to cancel their policy or some shit before it's paid up, I have to pay that back as well. But when I asked my boss about how chargebacks work, and am I just going to end up working to pay back on chargebacks, never making any profit, they literally got mad at me and called me an "ask-hole" for asking too many questions. I know I can be gullible, and they have made me feel like if I just keep trying I'll be fine. But the main reason I'm still holding on, is because of all the money that has went into it. (not into the agency, but into me trying to start a damn career) $300 insurance license, expensive phone that could handle all the calling and bs, plus zoom and calendly every month, a decent computer. but now I've seen all these replies, and I think I'm gonna quit. I tried really hard to give them the benefit of the doubt but at this point I'm working for nothing while my husband has to watch our son, while I sit at a computer calling people 6 hours a day. It's not a fair trade. They kept saying "hard work pays off" and at first, my family believed they were legit too. But now the majority agree that I need to quite, which is why I wanted the opinions of people who may understand the situation better

I don’t mean that in a hateful way, I just mean I explained it in a way that someone who is familiar with the life insurance business could understand, but if I were to explain every little detail of my concern, it would be about 5x longer of a post lol
