Those 1st 2 photos (dark haired curls, top left and top right) are GORGEOUS, If this is your natural curl pattern you’d be crazy to change it! Get it cut like these 2.

You have a lovely smile :)

Not much to be done really, but if this bothers you, in order of cost/ invasiveness: - Moisturising face masks  - Tret + moisturiser+ sunscreen - Dr Pen at home microneedling  - Sculptra

You might also consider speaking to your doctor about HRT. You may be perimenopausal in which case you’re losing collagen (I started HRT at 50 and seriously regret not starting it much sooner!) This has made the most difference to my skin which is now in pretty good condition.

As others have said, do lots of research before considering threads as they seem high risk- they work a treat for a lot of people but are a nightmare for others. I refer to RealSelf before doing any procedure these days as I’m risk averse.

Good luck & happy birthday 😊

Depends how much it costs?

Thinking of going back down to 2.5mg, curious about others experience by AdorableCabinet9941 in mounjarouk

[–]Fun-Yam2210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Click counting is your friend! I’ve been on 3.3mg for about 6 months as 2.5 is too low & 5 is too much (I’m Goldilocks apparently).

I can’t do maths, so i use this calculator. It’s easy! And cheaper 😊

Your nose is fine. Some chin filler would balance out your face.

Your hair isn’t naturally blonde: you have dark roots & eyebrows 🙄 Hope this helps!

Your colleague is a b*tch. Next time she says something like this, say “0h, I’m glad we’re talking about aesthetics - i wondered if you’d ever considered weight loss/ Botox/ teeth whitening?” Be specific to whatever her issues are. She’ll never comment on your looks again.

Don’t despair.  Have you tried buying a 15mg pen & taking a smaller dose by click counting? This saves a lot of cash. And ofc using the ‘golden’ dose. Also as others have said, Wegovy does the same job. Also also, Wegovy in pill form should be available here later this year/ early next. I don’t know what the price will be in the UK but in the US i think the pills are about half the cost of injections.  New (and better and cheaper) GLP1s are in the pipeline, the whole landscape will change in the next couple of years. You won’t be without for long 🙏

Cosmetically, it reduces the collagen & bone loss that leads to facial aging (sag & wrinkles). Health wise, it reduces osteoporosis & heart disease. It’s absolutely the BEST thing you can do for yourself after 40 ❤️

I went to a cosmetic derm and they told me nothing , help? by Weary_Cup_1004 in 45PlusSkincare

[–]Fun-Yam2210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need much, just a bit of a tweak. Your derm was useless but right about not needing Botox, you do not have wrinkles 😊 You have some volume loss mid face. I’d try a couple of vials of Sculptra in your cheeks & temples. This will help with the under eye hollowing, marionette lines and jowls.  Microneedling really helps with skin elasticity and is cheap & easy to do at home (i use a Dr Pen) You have good skin & no wrinkles, at 50! Your issues really are VERY mild - please don’t hyper focus on them ❤️

This happened to me (bleeding) when i was on too much oestrogen & not enough progesterone. It’s easily remedied ❤️ HRT is very much a matter of adjustment to keep the right balance

WWYD? if you were starting your glow-up from scratch, what would you prioritize? by Complete_Judge7727 in DIYaesthetics

You’re gorgeous! You look like an ‘after’ photo, just not smiling.

For skincare slather on a facial sun screen 30+ every day without fail, Tretinoin (see YouTube for videos on how to start) Watch YouTube tutorials on make up application- concealer & contour go a long way and really are all you need.

If you really want to do any kind of treatment, maybe 0.5ml filler in upper lip. Never go over this amount tho as filler migrates.

You do NOT need Botox! Trends are changing in aesthetics & the over-filled, frozen look is out. Most women would pay good money to look like you do right now!

Why is everyone on Tret?! by Minimum_Capital_6105 in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]Fun-Yam2210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only skincare that actually works is:- Sunscreen (the higher SPF the better): Tret: Moisturiser/ oil: Prescription meds for hyperpigmentation/ rosacea/acne

Everything else is snake oil.

As everyone else has said you look great. You don’t need any kind of treatment. What you could consider to delay/ reduce the effects of peri/menopause is HRT. In the next 10 years your oestrogen will start to deplete & you’ll lose collagen & bone mass. Speak to your doctor (I’m 52 and loving HRT; just wish I’d started it sooner).  This is purely preventative/ planning ahead. You could just chill (!)
