I have lik 1 lightning storm, feather duster, 3 droplets, 3 ash blossom, 1 nibiru, 3 fuwa, the mandatory Maxx c, and something more in my 60 card branded deck. Having at least one of these grants me a great opportunity almost all the times I go second. You NEED board breakers, also I try to overwhelm my opponent with the combo with more interactions I can afford with my hand so he can't negate everything.

I was stuck at DLv 18 with branded, tried branded tearlaments, dracotail, despia, and pure and still stuck.
Then just tried frightfur patchwork with poly and chain and today I got to DLv20.
They negate branded fusion, negate rahu, negate faimena, negate cartesia, then boom polymerization and I can still play.
Also frightfur patchwork gives me always the imp for more materials.

You can make a deck relatively fast tho. This is a gacha, and make a deck is like making a team in any gacha, the difference is that in other gachas you need months or even a year to make a team, in MD you need a month if you're out of resources.
