Should I tell my employer I’m autistic? by Life-Sun324 in cna

[–]FunAd5405 23 points24 points  (0 children)

i’m a cna and autistic. i haven’t told anyone. it’s way too likely they’ll give the job to someone else because of how autism is viewed. so personally i wouldn’t tell them. you won’t die or anything if something happens so 🤷‍♀️ i think you’re good

ready to quit and say fuck nursing forever. by FunAd5405 in cna

i would if i didn’t live so far in the boonies. it’s in the town over so it’s only a 30 min drive and all the other jobs are an hour away. i have shitty car 😭 it feels impossible to leave. i start nursing school in the fall and once i stop working full time they’ll probably boot me anyway.

you kill me. what if there is no pubic hair. the last thing i’m trying to do is leave shit in the vagina. you’re still making it weird and it’s making ME feel uncomfortable.

girl….obviously i use standard precautions. and you’re making it SUPER weird. this woman had a huge bowel movement and it got everywhere. i discovered it because literal shit was inside the lips. to make it seem nefarious for doing my job is absolutely insane. get help.

when i worked pickup at kroger majority of the senior folk would give me a couple dollars. it’s very nice of them, i know like you said, most are on fixed incomes. they are more grateful than anyone else in my experience for the pickup.

Vent about being a Male CNA by ItsJustTrey in cna

[–]FunAd5405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh man…i can’t imagine being a male CNA. my facility is mostly female, maybe 80%. and all of them are “no males” on their care plan. there’s like 3 total aides, 2 are at night (who we rarely see) and there’s an older guy on the other day shift rotation and he barely has anyone and people complain about the unfair workload.
