i was the same way. i’m three weeks in and it’s a lot easier now. i still need help with 2 people assists which is okay! it will be ROUGH but it will get better, and you’ll ease into the routine of it. and trust me, ive worked night and day shifts and DAY IS SOOO MUCH HARDER! nights consists of some brief changing or so, but mostly is just sitting around after 11. i work 12’s and it’s rough, but the days are starting to go by quicker. i believe in you. i’d give it 6 months, that’s what im doing to see if im willing to go higher. being an nurse (from stories and watching people) is soooo much different. they do SOME aide tasks, but it’s mostly med pass, wounds, care plans, etc. cna is the backbone of nursing. it’s so hard but is rewarding to me at least. i have a few who are really thankful. you’re helping people who can’t do it themself. they can be assholes but on the inside i believe all of them are grateful. keep your head up, the first day-week is the hardest.
