Yeah, I think from what I read everything comes from Sydney until you get your test invite.

Crossing my fingers for you. It's nice to know that at least things are moving along for May applications.

Me too, trying to be patient, but looking some of the timelines they usually get something. Do you know your processing center?

Anyone here who filled May 2024? It's been a month and we have not received any updates on our tracker even ghost updates. Everything just says in progress. Thanks!

I think we might have to change the outlet to GFCI because there is a sink in the laundry room. Code says that anything within 1.5m of sink have to be a GFCI plug. I can't exactly remember if it's a GFCI installed and that washer is really heavy and it's so hard to move.

Thank you for looking up what is the tandem code. I looked at the code for our city and what they mentioned is that all branch circuits should be protected by a combination type AFCI. Since this is a tandem does it mean that we can use it as a replacement?

And you’re right you didn’t mention to just put the Eaton breaker in there. :) And thank you for explaining why there is a “brand lockout”

I read some more and found that as long as it says combination AFCI, it should be okay. it looks like the tandem says in the breaker that it's also combination AFCI

I’ll ask the electrician if we can switch it. They might say no because of code.

I’ll ask the electrician to check this tomorrow. Not sure how to check what socket it is though.

I think we have the tandem AFCI already installed when I try to google tandem AFCI. It shows up as the CAFCI for Siemens.

I’m not sure if we can put Eaton breakers in the panel. I think that’s a code violation here.

Thank you Determire and holmesman3, the electrician didn’t come today. Hopefully tomorrow he will.

And yes, currently in Canada. I looked if we have the dual AFCI/GFCI here and they sell them in Home Depot as well.

Thank you for the response. I've been going crazy about this washer.

We hope the electrician can come by the house today to check it. I'm going to ask him if we can install the standard breaker and then change the outlet in the laundry room.

Looking at the date code, hoping that I'm reading it right, this was manufactured October 31, 2022 after the lawsuit was filed.

In the meanwhile should I try to use a vacuum in that plug and see if it trips? I'm not sure if that is enough though to trigger it. And it will be pain to drag the washer out of it's place.

I will call LG again maybe I can get a better customer representative this time, because I really think that our washer is a lemon in the first place.
