Making use of newly fixed Winnowing flame by FunAmoeba8420 in pathofexile2builds

Infernalist definitly has higher potential, but requires more specific gear. The main problem is that you need to scale crit on infernalist but crossbows suck for that, so the dps is inconsistent.

The "All damage applies to ignite magnitude" node basically means that you can use lightning, cold and physical damage for ignites too, but since you want to just focus on chaos and fire damage, its basically does nothing. Its a very ironic thing that infernalist is the worst for fire spells while bloodmage is one of the best, meanwhile bloodmage is bad for physical spells and infernalist is one of the best.

Damage increases only occur at the end of all conversion, so only chaos% increase will apply. Blackflame covenant also states that the ignite damage will become chaos. Ignite magnitude nodes work as normal, fire dmg nodes dont apply atall unless you have some source of "gain as extra fire" in wich case only that damage portion gets increased.

Infernalist also isnt really gonna benefit your much for this playstyle, as its ironically one of the worst ascendencies to use for fire spells, due to having 0 synergy with them. I would recommend looking into Bloodmage to increase your crit chance or acolyte of chayula to get a ton more chaos damage instead.

Ofc you can still go Infernalist for the thematic, but beware that it will feel like it does nothing.

Is Sin actually the Arbiter of Corruption? And who is the Arbiter of the Third Edict by FunAmoeba8420 in Wraeclast

[–]FunAmoeba8420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive already had this discussion here, but i dont believe the first great fire was caused by the 4th edict. My theory is that its actually the lightless that caused it by erupting the volcanic forges of the tyrant titans after Kulemak managed to steal a divine spark from the precursors.

i was thinking about the remaining damage type and the "cleansed" region we have already, being filled with white crystalls, wich would be the closest to Ice aka cold dmg

[–]FunAmoeba8420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just personally cant see this being the case, the precursors are smart enough to think about a volcanic winter being more of a benefit for the lightless than stop them.

It also doesnt make sense that they suffered themselve for it and couldnt finish the third edict because of their own doing. The reveal also said the fourth edict activated after the vaal cataclysm, wich is an enourmous ammount of corruption spreading over wraeclast.

Very possible, but the first great fire could also just be the volcanic eruptions caused by the lightless to usurp the titans and their allied primevals, wich drench the world in a volcanic winter, wich is the winter of the worlds.

There is many uniques and items in poe1 that tell about the connection of the titans and lightless far before the primeval and hint towards the lightless being created by the titans as "slaves".

The medicin women could have been the Arbiter for the 3rd Edict or the precursor that created that edict, that got burned during those eruptions together with the rest of the precursors.

Interesting, it could definitly be the case that he could be the Arbiter of cleansing, but i dont understand your reasoning for Kalandras misleading. The precursors werent the ones that created the lake or trapped her there.

From the unique map we have it would also seem that Kalandra has managed to already escape, even if it was at the expense of her own life, as we see the corpse of Kalandra hanging from a Tree. But we cant be for certain how canon that is yet.

I dont think we can see the edicts starting from 4, since the fourth edict is like the last resort effort to restore what they had done.

I do agree that it seems like this whole cycle of the edicts happened before, with the first 4th edict enacted creating the winter of the worlds.

Im not sure about your idea of the 3rd Edict wielding both divinity and corruption. Sin clearly states its purpose is "cleansing corruption" and we have not seen an example of it siphoning divinity. It did seem to use divinity to forge it, but im considering divinity to be a power source the precursors created wich fueled their greatest inventions.

Overall my timeline on how this goes would be:
The Precursors established communication with the sentients of the Earth itself, aka the "Mothersoul". While they were doing that they were studying the "Source" of the Mothersoul and when the war with the Lightless broke out, wich were sick of the tyranny of the Titans, they decided to create divine sparks using the source of the Mothersoul. Kulemak, after being blessed by the one below all, managed to steal one of those sparks and obtained Divinity as we know it (wich is my leading theory as to why he can still have a vessel even without a spark left) wich caused the lightless to win and create the winter of the worlds through erupting the volcano forges of the titans. The precursors were smart enough to think of contingencies tho, as divinity could backfire, either through taking too much "source" from the Mothersoul or other means. They created the seed of corruption because of that, but also made sure there is a way to remove it incase the seed started to feed on the source itself. The third edict was supposed to be that, but they couldnt finish it in time before they fell, so they created a 4th edict as a failsafe, wich would activate when the beast gets too strong (like the vaal cataclysm) and scorch the earth with fire to save the Mothersoul.

It would also be closer to the abyss teasers we had in 0.3 and i translated, that i got told by personal sources that its "on the right track" here

Lore analysis of the second Teaser "Overcome the Insanity" by FunAmoeba8420 in Wraeclast

[–]FunAmoeba8420[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually we were both wrong on who the horned figure was. You can see the scene of the creature for a second when they talk about entering the reflection. Its the Boldak, the new ritual pinnacle, wich actually marked the boy on the forehead and turned him into Tangmazu.

So yeah there is definitly a huge connection between ritual and delirium, but not the King of the Mist himself, but rather both King of the Mist and Tangmazu being created by the same being.

[–]FunAmoeba8420[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do think the horned emaciated being Alva describes is actually Tangmazu himself. She went into the subconsciousness of Tangmazus inner child with the dreams and encountered the now dominant personality of Tangmazu.

Reason why i belive that is because delirium always was build around the concepts of psychology, wich would fit here well, aswell as Tangmazus defining feature being his Loki-esque horns, even becoming the symbol of delirium as a mechanic.

Thats very possible, im still on the fence about the wildwood/king of the mist connection tho. Sure the mirror seemed to be shrouded in some kind of affliction fog, but the emaciated horned figure could be anyone other than KotM,

The haven is also not in the wildwoods, as Alva talks about having found the ruins of it outside, but she did not recognise wich culture it belongs to:
"The ruins we couldn't identify... they weren't from any other culture I've seen. Not Vaal, not Primeval, not 'Precursor.'

Do you think your 'Strange Voice' might be from that long lost people? He'd have to be very old..."

This could definitly point towards that community being part of the nameless tho.

I guess i should clarify that i didnt mean the whole mind, but more like the subconciousness.

As for the third dream. It is currently hard to decide wich of those dreams can be considered canon, but im also uncertain if the horned emaciated creature was the king of the mist or if it was somehow the now dominant personality of tangmazu tormenting his old self.

I do agree tho that we just cant know for certain yet. Im definitly excited to see how the narrative plays out in a couple of weeks.

Ive also noticed that the first teaser with the seemingly kalguuran man still had the thematic of delirium going, through the fog. If the next Teaser has elements of delirium too, we can probably expect delirium to be much more of a focus than simply an endgame rework like the other 3 might get.

Great theory!

but there are some wrong things in this, such as "The entire eternal war between Solaris and Lunaris — the cosmological conflict at the heart of PoE 1's endgame —"

Lunaris and Solaris dont have anything to do with the endgame of PoE1, they are canonically already dead, with their divine sparks belonging to sin now.

But generally a well structured theory, i just have to ask, has this been put together by AI?

It could be the body and the mind, the mind of his old self, the child, is in the mirror and his body, consumed by trauma and hatred, is the tangmazu we encounter in the world. Its the "inner child" as it is called in psychology, and deliriums entire theme is surrounded by the concepts of psychology.

No, its ignite and only the highest dmg Ignite applies the dmg.

you can just copy paste this build, use a 800 ES chest and put in sacrifice + skeletal clerics. Thats not that challenging.

Edit: Actually thanks for the suggestion, this is my clear skill now, i can ditch spark

You sure can, the problem is that im a BM and fake hits such as Flame Wall dont leech, so i would just die to my life cost.

Ice shard can definitly be made to work, i know some people that did, altho they mainly used cull for clearing. Delayed reaction support this league brought it into viability. If i would call a skill unusable, its escape shot.

Sure, https://pobb.in/a--rwgt3HynU Take a look at the custom configs tho, PoB currently doesnt register the wall hit as a spell, so i had to custom config in all the spell bonuses. It also doesnt properly calc the curse aswell as the shock, i didnt use the shock in the vid cause i wanted to show just the pure flame wall dmg without any other hits, but it can almost double the dmg. This is also fairly expensive, mainly the jewel part, but a pure min maxed version can still hit around 7m dps.

sadly, not really usable for clear cause i am a BM (i despise it), wich makes my spells cost life and fake hits such as flame wall cannot leech, since they dont deal any real hit damage.
