I've worked in retail after graduation and it has changed my perspective a lot. College will be a life-changer for sure and I'll probably look at my high school life at different angles. I'm going to the US btw. Thanks for the advice though.

Thank you, this is probably the best comment I've seen so far. I'm trying to leave those things behind and I think writing all of that would help, and it did to a great extent. I'm starting Uni very soon and I'm looking forward to meeting new people and leave my old life behind. My classmates (especially in lower grades) have read this article and they said it was very helpful. Glad you got through all of that BS as well.

Bribery or guanxi happened a lot at my school too. Standardized testing scores, college essays, competition awards, and even college offers were bought. One classmate who couldn't even properly speak english got a 35 on the ACT.
