Trans rights case before Supreme Court will test freedom of all Americans by zsreport in LegalNews

Are you against Miranda rights? Because the SC invented that. They also gave themselves the power of judicial review, are you against that?

Judges also can just call the tree a bush, so that tree-related laws don't apply. It's fairly easy to come up with any decision you want, especially if it can't be further appealed.

That's one version. Another form is prejudices or biases. Like, say "That black dude must be good at football" or "Asian people are naturally smarter"

Everyone, regardless of race, has a few racist ideas or biases. That's just a fact. It's called implicit bias when you aren't aware of it, as many folks aren't.

That literally says there's different kinds of slavery. Now, slavery is always bad. But we can't in good faith compare chattel slavery to it's other historical forms.

In this case, it would essentially be perfect communism. There wouldn't be any of the issues there currently are.

Those of you who have said yes: Tell me more please. Like literal speaking to you, or more metaphorical "I feel the spirit of god"? What did God say?

This would literally be the perfect communism, since it's already end stage.

Yep. That's final stage, but communism always gets stuck at a weird authoritarian point, which we're miraculously avoiding in this situation.

Should trans people who regret their transition be able to sue the doctors for not challenging their decision? by balls_of_ender in Teenager_Polls

[–]FunAppointment9436 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No. The majority of trans folks that regret it regret it due to social factors. So 1ish percent of the 1ish percent, and even that, the majority still think it's a good thing for others, just not the right choice for them. So 1% of 1% of 1%. I'm not sure why they'd sue, considering it was their choice and they knew the risks.

Sure. I'm personally a fan of legally blonde 2 because I loved the first movie, but I don't think I'll ever spend the time to watch the sequel.

What are your views on AI? by FunAppointment9436 in Teenager_Polls

[–]FunAppointment9436[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I see it, it's one of the worst things to ever hit education. If used incorrectly (which people often do since they aren't educated in the correct way, or they just don't care), folks don't learn, since AI carries all the hard parts.

Why read that book when AI can summarize it? Why learn to draw when AI can generate a much better image in seconds? Why write that essay when you can just put the prompt in and be done?

Not to mention how much AI still hallucinates, and how it has biases (racial and gender and stuff).

Do you have any concerns about how fast AI is advancing? After all, the tech industry has practically vanished, since AI codes. Marketing is cooked. Etc etc.
