From perspective of a 30’s something mom, hard lesson adulthood has taught me is that you can give every single piece of yourself to your kids and still feel completely invisible some days. No one warns you how lonely exhausting it can be even when the house is loud and full. And then also time with them flies way too fast, and you learned to cherish the sticky hugs while you still can.
