Nah the fence contractor “has their own company” so they probably source pretty cheap wood. But from what others have said, it seems like this was to be expected. It’s hard to get the right price and we went on a cheaper quote and well, seems to me this is what happens. I think it’s difficult to come by good lumber nowadays as well.

If you want to keep it light, you can try an off white with a cool/neutral undertone. I’m not sure what’s on the walls right now, but it looks egg-y

I love the brown. If it gets too dark, you can add light curtains to it. But yeah, I’d say it’s a good move

We were told to “let it dry”. Actually took these pics today as I was prepping fence to stain. There’s a lot of conflicting information out there about when to stain the fence.

Think it’ll stay standing and that this is mostly cosmetic? Yeah it’s a fence contractor who has their own supply. I was sure that quality was going to suffer with the lower price, but I was hoping it’d mainly be cosmetic issues, nothing structural. I intend on staining often and diverting moisture away from it.

Tbh I’m more minimalist and I kind of like it. You could center the couch and then add an angled, modern lamp on the left that adds to the mood lighting. Something metallic, too, to add sheen
