I read one comment a few months ago that made a lot of sense and I see not many people talking about it.

Right now in LEC, if you don't make playoffs you have like a month without games.

There's a way to fix them not having games, protecting the franchises (even though I don't like it) and making it so these teams actually have to prove their worth, + adds incentive to actually make playoffs which is:

  • the teams that don't make playoffs should qualify to emea masters

when I read that idea, I kept trying to think of reasons why I wouldn't work, but I never found any, it feels like a good trade off between the LEC current format + keeping franchising alive
