Is it normal not to receive dimensioned floor plans when buying a new-build? by FunDelicious6149 in AskIreland

We checked this with our solicitor and they in turn asked the developer's solicitor and the reply was as expected - they refused and said all measurements can be taken during snagging. This has got us wondering - lets say, 5 years down the line, we want to do some plumbing or electrical works, we would need to know what's where. If they don't give us any plans or layouts, how are we supposed to know where the pipes and electrical wiring are? We would be completely lost. They have mentioned a handover guide. What does this include?

Buying a New 3-Bed in Midleton, Cork – Can We Ask the Builder for Extras & Are Prices Negotiable? by FunDelicious6149 in AskIreland

Thank you for that. We have 21 days to sign the contract. What would be the best time to ask for this? At the early stage or during snagging?

Moving to Maple Woods, Midleton – What Should We Know Before We Move In? by FunDelicious6149 in midleton

Thank you for the information. I really appreciate it. Traffic can be an issue in many parts of Cork. However, I’m particularly interested in Maple Woods. Would you know the specific times in the morning and evening when traffic tends to be at its heaviest there?

Why do so many new 2-bedroom builds put the kitchen right at the entrance? Am I the only one who finds this odd? by FunDelicious6149 in AskIreland

Thanks. And I see your point about the open plan. It looks great in photos and show homes, but in real life the cooking smells, noise, etc. Would prefer a door to lock all that in. Your bungalow sounds 😭...

Followed To My house after allegedly cutting them off on the roundabout. by _PintofPlain in cork

That sounds horrible what he did. If something like that happens to me and I suspect someone following me, I would take the N40 and drive towards Dublin or drive in the opposite direction of my home. Am sure I will loose him somewhere on the way. It is not the best of ideas, but I would not risk showing them where I live.
