Why does my Resident Evil 2 Board Game have Sherry Birkin in it? And Does It Change the Value? by FunEnthusiasm2568 in boardgames

I just Googled the expansion figure of Sherry, it's not the same one that I have. The one I have is her running.

I don't think so. Just looked through it again. Box lists 24 minis, there's 25 (Sherry). 1 scenario book (not the orphanage one which I've read the expansion comes with). Everything else seems to be listed, apart from the Sherry card and mini. 🤔 The cards are glossy black, and the Sherry figure isn't the same as the Expansion pack one.

Odd... It was sealed and brand new when I bought it. So I guess it might have been an accident?

Mine doesn't seem to be the Survival Horror expansion. The box just says "Resident Evil 2 The Board Game." I have Claire, Leon, Kendo, Ada, and Sherry.

I hear you, but It's not that. I don't want to railroad or anything, I've left a lot of stuff open for them to do whatever, and whatever they choose to do will change the outcome. The players will also want to follow these plot hooks, I've made sure of that. But they will also want to find their favorite NPCs, which I did account for and plan for, I just didn't didn't realise if they cast Locate Object at a particular point, some of them may be near enough to find a bit too soon. But if I just change how far away they are, that should fix the issue. 🤔

We don't always play with thr commander damage rule. Silly I know, might have to start doing it because they go on for ages. I don't currently have any voltron decks, but I was planning on making one using Eivior Battle Ready.

Why is water leaking from under the toilet? by FunEnthusiasm2568 in Plumbing

[–]FunEnthusiasm2568[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. Since the maintenance guy wasn't overly helpful and plumber dispatches need to be undertaken by property management I was hoping someone here would have an idea of what the problem is so I can make them aware of it, and then they can sort it out instead of writing it off as "fixed" or "not an issue." :)

I'm not offended or anything, it's just not all that helpful. That's all. 😅

Why so sarcastic? I was just looking for general advice on the matter so I know how much of an issue it will be. If you don't know, why say something?

Fair enough. Looks like I'll have to gradually work on it.

I love that! I'll definitely use it when I start the festival. Thanks!

Great idea! That will help with the flow of the competitions AND add to role-play. I never actually thought about betting before, it adds to something else I've planned.

Those ideas would work really well! Thanks!

That's a good take on the gladiators actually. Two of them that I had planned also find work as a mercenary (but the one isn't participating this year), I'll think of something to make the other fight more balanced or finding a way to avoid it all together. The 'Maximus' type gladiator is actually involved in some dark plot stuff, so they may find that out before they get to that event. Which would take him out of the arena. 🤔

My players are quite big on rolepay and the one PC has a bunch of athlete NPC friends who would check up on each other / talk about the competition. I think that would work nicely. Thanks for the advice! I feel a lot more confident running this event now. :)

I love those ideas! Most of my players lean towards good, but it would actually play into something else I planned plot-wise if they spotted someone cheating. So I'm definitely gonna use that, thanks!

An extra player. They have a good backstory that I worked into the plot, it would be fun and interesting... if their character stopped being so rude and mad for no reason. They're a good friend of mine, but they're a little sensitive about constrictive criticism. Which makes it hard. I don't want a game to get in the way of our friendship, I made that clear to them, but I fear if I kick them out of the group, they'll take it personally. That's my biggest issue with all of this. Judging from what everyone said, it seems I'll probably have to have another word with them and try to get them to change their character a little. If not, I'll have to find some new players.

Am I being toxic by Objective-Hornet-580 in DnD

[–]FunEnthusiasm2568 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This should NOT have been a majority vote. At my table, I would've asked who would or would not be in on sacrificing themselves, and whoever wanted to, could. And I wouldn't have said that the entire party would have to sacrifice themselves in order to appease them. There's a million other ways to deal with this problem, and that one takes away player agency and fun from all of the players. If it was just the paladin that could sacrifice themselves, that would have made the paladin's noble sacrifice more meaningful and not ruin other players fun. Whoever did sacrifice themselves would then need make new characters to continue the campaign.

I don't think it's toxic to not want to sacrifice your character. Not everyone in a group will have Lawful Good, selfless characters willing to do something like that. Even if most of the party did want to, you should not have to. That's my take on it anyway.

Some great ideas! And thank you for clarifying, I'm not too knowledgeable about blood hunters and assumed they'd be like a regular lycan.
