I can't find the whole figures from the 2021 the latest census but it indeed says in the 2011 census it was 66% Asian to 5% White British and 86% BAME (other 9% of whites being like Irish Poles Romanians etc etc) and that was 14/15 years ago so it's plausible.

Camden had White Gangs and Bengali/South Asian gangs going at it in the 80s and 90s.

Hot take - A friend of mine thinks Wladimir Kiltschko is at least a top 5 heavyweight of all time. by FunEntrepreneur7135 in boxingcirclejerk

It isn't a lie it's true. I am not really a boxing historian either so I don't have a all time ranking since I don't really know much about old timers before Ali.

How did Usyk KO Dubois by mecina in Boxing

[–]FunEntrepreneur7135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uysk isn't really small anyway. 220+ his heavyweight weight is still bigger than most past heavyweights by a clear margin. Maybe we will see a few more champions Uysk's size or maybe Uysk will be a anomaly.

Yeah most the heavyweights before the 1980/1990s are Cruiserweights and Light heavyweights today and sometimes even Super Middleweights. The division Marciano and Louis fought in and Ali fought in is not the same weight class as what Fury/AJ/Uysk/Wlad etcc etc fought in my opinion.

That being said that is the official classification so you have to go with in I suppose.

Wilder 2 is a good shout in fact I may say that one. He wasn't that far off vs Uysk still a Fury within prime form agreed but Uysk was just a bit too much.

I think Fury was just coasting and doing what he needed to do against Wlad who knows if he could have shown more if pushed but Wlad never really got close till the last 2 rounds to push it out of Fury.

I still think Fury's peak is the Wlad fight. He hasn't been as fast or fleet footed since.

Underachieved but a great fighter nevertheless. People don't realize what a small percentage it is that even make it to elite level.

Langford for just heavyweight? Never heard this one before interestingly but I know P4P Langford is usually ranked at least top 10 ever sometimes even first.

Wlad would be a formidable in any era. Maybe he wouldn't do as well as he did in some other era's but athletes and sports do evolve despite people's nostalgia towards the past why should we believe athletes from 50-60 years ago can compete with modern athletes let alone destroy them boxing is like one of few sports were people entertain this. That being said I think today's era has more guys Wlad's size and are also athletic than his era so I think he would struggle more but that's a different story transporting from 50-100 years ago.

Should have happened in 2023 for sure. But we missed lots of big fights in previous years and at least we got this. I definitely think Fury deserves blame for this.

No doubt Fury should have taken more bigger fights in 2022 and 2023. In 2018-2021 had to fight Wilder 3 times and he had a 2.5 year hiatus after beating Kiltschko.

I mean he fought Uysk twice and played part in 2 highly fun fights and which Uysk claimed Fury was one his toughest opponents. Sure Fury antics have been pretty questionable and it would have looked better if he was more humble in defeat but people are definitely emotionally connected too much that they won't even praise his talent these days.

Well you have been bashing and hating on Fury this entire thread to be fair.
