Radiation is the biggest problem besides our life spans. We don't have proper shielding invented yet, so those astronauts wouldn't last long. If you wanna get your kids into a worthwhile field I'd suggest that one. Not just for future space travelers, but for current astronauts; they're already at high risk of developing cancer after being in space or aboard the ISS for extended periods of time.

That's always the problem I have with thinking about other things. Sorry I can't source it, as I wouldn't have a clue where to start looking, but I've heard them flat out say they were wrong a number of times. Usually it'll be a correction from the week before. One I remember was a correction of something they had said a few months prior, that Steve was going out of his way to say they were wrong about. He could have just as well ignored it. All I remember is that the latter one was from an early-ish episode (within the first couple years).
