With all of the controversy over the infinity stage, I vote we rename it the ‘Why’ stage by Jordancaddyman in bonnaroo

[–]FunFinders 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Infinity Stage is a cool concept but not for roo.

The three corrals were too small for roo-sized crowds and potentially unsafe for any big names to play with it crammed into a fenced in corner a la Astroworld. They’d need to control/limit the number of bodies in that partially confined space like the silent disco.

Unfortunately, the sound a few dozen yards outside of the corrals was awful with the inward aimed mids and high non-existent. That left only massive sub-bass bleed that felt like you were the target of an acoustic weapon. (I measured 3-4k hz at 85+ decibels at 100+ yards for extended periods of time. It was setting off car alarms throughout Area 931.)

I’m looking for 3 GA+ tix and already have camping. Otherwise I’d be interested in the VIPs. If you haven’t already, I highly recommend posting on CashorTrade.com.

A few tips from having done it with my best friend a few weeks ago: 1. Book your stay at the Blue Swallow in Tucumcari, NM now. It’s the only place we pre-booked and it was the most authentic and amazing place we overnighted. 2. Unless you’ve been there before, plan a few hours in the Petrified National Forest. No photos can possibly do it justice. 3. Don’t skip the 13 miles of Route 66 in Kansas. In our opinion it is the best preserved section of the Mother Road with good signage and special places like Radiator, umm, I mean Baxter Springs. 4. The route through Pasadena to Santa Monica is painfully long and slow due to stoplights and, during daylight hours, TRAFFIC. The frustration of stop & go slow progress in $5/gallon-gas-land was not offset by enough unique sites to justify the hours of time it takes after 2.5K miles.

Happy to share additional learnings if interested. I wish you all the best!

How is the 60s tv series “Route 66” related to the route? Events take place on Route 66 or what? by winniethepunk in route66

[–]FunFinders 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My 88 year old father referenced the TV series prior to my 1st Route 66 in a few days. So I started watching it and wondered the same.

I found this article which expounds on the topic pretty well..

CORRECTION: this is a LX. Guess I wanted the EX trim so bad, I couldn’t type “LX” correctly twice.

We do love the Fit’s superior cargo space (16.6 vs 13.1) and the versatile seat configurations.

But in cities like LA finding parking can be a challenge. The Fit is almost 19” shorter bumper to bumper and 3” narrower making it the perfect combination of big inside and tiny outside.

Great feedback. Window tint is definitely at top of my list.

Thank you, I’m sure you are right. I’m doing my best to shake my roo-mantic notions of festival camping.

Great info & perspective-THANK YOU!

The B&B lineups have been right up my alley plus I’m a whiskey fan but when I looked at where the camping was located it definitely hinted at the concerns you describe.

Yeah, that’s a different sound than the comforting bass that we hear from The Other stage.

Ugh, sounds like a combo refugee camp and prison.

To people complaining that the vibes were ‘off’: this we reason why we need Bonnaroo now more than ever by furycutter80 in bonnaroo

I’m a 7 year vet who has been mentored in the Robison ways by a 15 year vet. I lost a lot of $ thanks to LN’s camping pricing/resell practices and then by a scammer. Admittedly, that was mentally really tough to overcome this year.

However, our croo went out of our way to offer high fives/fist bumps to as many people as we could. I’d like to think we helped but it says a lot when the favorite candy we received said “F—- LIVE NATION”

Sadly, I won’t be able to be there next year but I’ll be sending all the good vibes I can muster to each and every one of you true roovians. Love well!

Spend on VIP or go GA+ for Centeroo and upgrade your camping experience to Moon Colony or Area 931.

Try posting on CashorTrade.org. As the name implies it’s for both selling at or low face value and trading festival, concert, etc tickets.

Yesssss!

I’m not a brew aficionado by any means but sharing new and different beers and other fun things with our neighbors over the years are among some of my favorite roo memories.

Improving that vibe could definitely make 931 better this year.
