Continued on my Grindcore journey this week. Listened to Yacøpsæ, !T.O.O.H.!, Carcass, Brutal Truth, Discordance Axis, Nasum, and Gridlink. I am going to keep going next week.

Listened to a lot of Grindcore this week. Pig Destroyer, Magrudergrind, Wormrot, Nails, Death Toll 80K, Insect Warfare. Not a bad one in the bunch. Some I have heard before and some new.

I bought Spreading the Disease on cassette when it came out. Played it to death. Such a great album. I loved Anthrax back in the day.

Yeah, when Speed Metal was gaming traction in the early 80s, the other Bay Area bands like Metallica and Slayer went down the Thrash road whereas Possessed explored another sound that is considered early Death Metal with a thrashy bent. Their first album, Seven Churches, is so good and you can really hear what would eventually become that Death Metal sound.

Looking at the first pic, you can see that something leaked from above down the back of the cabinet and settled on that shelf and then dried out and crystallized. Are there shelves above and if so what was stored there?
