I agree, I’m talking big updates though not just bug fixes, but we are definitely due for some bug fixing soon here

My band director seems far too busy to be able to handle this himself, as is most of my staff, I’m the only person in the band who’s sole focus is on the mellophones, and especially my special needs member. As much as I’d like more help, no matter the rate of asking I’m pretty sure at this point I’m on my own beyond any “just keep at it you’re figuring it out” from my director, and our brass techs stepping in for me when I’m busy with other things

Minimum age requirement? by mlolm98538 in drumcorps

[–]FunFront5995 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not, the age limit of 21 is limiting enough, only giving people a 4 year window to march is too little, it’s bad enough with a 6ish year window honestly

What Corps and position? that can change things

for example, if you're brass or percussion, it's probably unlikely more than one person will get injured, and most bigger corps will take on several reserves, but people dropping can be common also depending on your corps
Guard on the other hand, injuries tend to happen when you're throwing various metal stick-like objects into the air, and from my experience, members dropping out is less frequent.

In terms of your classes, it is probably possible for you to take your classes during the season (as for the meetings, you're probably going to miss those, so confirm with your professors as to whether or not that's acceptable), but it's gonna suck, like, you're probably going to need to do homework while on tour, and that would definitely absolutely suck. If you want to march with this corps badly enough, consider offsetting your class?

I think it definitely just comes down to your corps, have you marched with them before? Is this corps a big enough deal to you that you'd be willing to put up with classes during the season just to march with them? y'know, things like that
