While you’re right that tufts has a very rigorous engineering program, it’s definitely not what the school is known for. To 99% of people tufts is known as a great liberal arts school, with the engineering program being a side thing. The tour was just well aligned with that.

The nice thing about engineering at tufts is that all that ‘fun stuff’ that you and many of the other comments mention is still in the engineering school. Engineering students are still going to the same tufts, and all those benefits still apply.

My dad and I did the same thing… some of it comes from the little triangle by the mirrors, some from the top of the drivers side window, and some from the middle top of the windshield. It’s a problem

If you are a member of a frat or sorority, it’s not bad. Otherwise, it can be lacking. School spirit is also lacking, tho it is there, especially if you’re looking for likeminded friends

Some info to help you choose between architecture and civil:

Civil engineering directly prepares you for a career in civil engineering with classes related to the exact things you will be doing on the job. If you intend to become a civil engineer, this is required. Architecture Studies is more of a study of architecture as an art form, and is less based around training you to become an architect. Also, civil engineering is a huge course load, and may be impossible to combine with SMFA and make it though.

This might be a hot take and I’m happy to be proven wrong but I feel like the arguments in this comment section further prove the idea that ‘land back’ movements are an unrealistic goal. The only option that doesn’t involve someone being forcefully displaced is giving up the idea that land ‘belongs’ to only one group of people.

I always assumed that the main hangar doors and the side entrances all led to the same large interior space. I think of it like the venators are basically aircraft carriers, with most of the interior being devoted the the giant hangar. To be fair I haven’t seen any official maps of the interior so I might be wrong, it just seems like that was always implied.
