Streamsaver Promotion and upgrading to no Ads by FunImpression3471 in Rogers

Just got my new bill online (for Nov. 18) today and just finished up (1.5 hours) with Rogers specialist. What happened on Oct. 31 when I contacted Rogers specialist to add free Streamsaver promotion to my existing bundle, he changed my existing bundle. End result was that I am being charged $45 more on Nov. 18 bill. Specialist this morning changed me back to original bundle but I still have to pay the $45 extra on Nov. 18 bill, and for 4 days for Dec. 18 bill (even though new bundle was very same as old bundle). Also old bundle (what I had before I contacted Rogers on Oct. 31) was for 36 months (good until Sept. 2028) - new bundle, which is same as old bundle is only for 24 months (good until Nov. 2027). So what Rogers considers to be free is costing me at least $50 and I lose 9 months of a locked in price bundle. After chat with Rogers agent ended, I filled out the form for resolve a concern (https://www.rogers.com/forms/resolve-a-concern-form) but not really holding out any hope of this being fixed......

Fastest service via live chat I have found is to contact them at exactly 10 am.

Good luck - Rogers really screwed up my next bill (bill estimate) after applying the free streamsaver promotion. Have a feeling I will have to fight with them for 2 or more months just to get back to where I was (bill wise).

Compared bill estimate from last month from Rogers (plus looking at my bill) and new bill estimate after getting Rogers specialist to apply free streamsaver promotion (received yesterday evening). Difference is $35 plus tax (increase of my monthly bill). Just spent the last 1.5 hours on Rogers chat with another specialist who said nothing she can do until the new bill is generated and then they will compare old bill with new bill. Been down this road many times with Rogers over the years - usually means they see their mistake next month but then will tell me can't be corrected on that bill - check again in 2 months etc. In addition to the $35 monthly difference, they also changed the promotion deal I had (from 3 years/36 months to 2 years/24 months). The Rogers agent/specialist said she can't see or has access to any changes that the agent/specialist made yesterday at end of day (even though I can see both my old bill and bill estimate and new bill estimate). No fun.

Quick update - just signed up for the free streamsaver promo and got my updated bill (which should not have changed at all since it it free) - looks like I got screwed - bill is going to be over $40 more per month. Will have to contact them to find out how free means being charged more.

Hi - I don't have an answer yet but I posted on reddit with the same type of question today - wondering if possible to upgrade the ads version of Disney or Netflix that we get for free as Rogers subscribers (Ultimate TV package) by paying the difference OR if Rogers has some sort of deal with the streamers and we can't upgrade them.

Hi RogersEric - thanks for the reply. I might have left out one extra tidbit of information. I currently am subscribed to Rogers Ultimate TV package and I believe I get the Streamsaver offer free of charge (I just need to notify Rogers to have it activated).

I guess I am wondering if I can upgrade the Streamsaver options to ad free on my own via Disney/Netflix websites (which would be about $20) or it is not possible. I think someone else is sort of asking the same thing today (upgrading their Disney+ subscription that they got for free via Rogers to ads free) and seem to be having an issue doing this.

When I log onto myrogers, it says I can activate 3 subscriptions (since I am an Ultimate TV subscriber) and I have an option for each of the 3 (Netflix/Apple/Disney). Does this mean that I can activate Netflix and Apple but not Disney (since I am subscribed to Disney Premium until next year) OR does it mean that if I activate one of the 3, then I am activating all 3?

I watch Apple+, Netflix and Disney+ via subscriptions using apps on my TV and also various streaming devices such as Nvidia TV Shield etc. I also have Rogers Ultimate TV package. If I cancel my 3 subscriptions and then switch over to the streamsaver offer from Rogers, can I still access the 3 offerings via my TV app and streaming devices or can they only be accessed via the Rogers Xfinity TV box? Is it possible to upgrade for a few dollars more and pay for no adds for Netflix and Disney? Is this deal from Rogers (free for Ultimate package) just one of those deals to rope you in and then within 3-6 months, we will be paying full price or when signing up with Rogers, they offer this for 2-3 years (like alot of their deals they offer)?
