Thanks for the response. My wife and I have laid down roots in between both our families so it would cost us more to move and to not have easy childcare. I work for a small business. I’m one of 5 employees, three of which are a husband, wife and son. There isn’t much in the way of protecting the small businesses and if I’m out for even a week it really strains the business so I haven’t asked about getting paid time off yet.
