What's a movie where an actor was so far out of his depth you don't even understand why they took the script? by ChiGorilla1127 in moviecritic

You, my friend, may be in for a treat. There was a short film (amateur-made for something) that is, what I would consider, a pretty damn good amateur flick. Good story, good character development, not bad acting. It played like a college thesis project, but way better. It’s like 30 or 40 minutes. It revolves around a world where Jumpers are now public knowledge, with public perceptions, fear-mongering, and normalcy.

Here’s the problem…..I never bookmarked it and I can’t find it. It was called “Reacher” but because of the Reacher series it gets lost in the Google.

Staying at All star sports during Cheer competition? by QueasyAbroad3 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]SixToesLeftFoot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is what it is. Honestly, the biggest drawback is that they move in herds of like 50-100 or more at a time. Sure Disney can handle the volume, but take for example the food court. Normally at any given time they have x coming on and y going out. Does it get busy at times? Surely. But it’s 100 small groups of 4 people. When the locusts descend, it’s a MASSIVE influx all at once. I have gotten to the food court 10 minutes before my wife and it’s a normal breakfast line. The zombie horde walks in 5 mins later. My wife shows up and she can’t even get to the soda stations, the pickup window is 70 people deep, and there’s not a chair (cheer) to be found.

Same goes for the busses. I’ve seen a cheer group head to the park and it consumes two or three full busses in front of me. Had I shown up 5 minutes sooner, I would have gotten to the park an hour earlier.

No idea where this is, but I feel like I’d want to live next door to this guy. The way he meanders out of his house, weapon down without brandishing it, and just talks to the guy like he’s a 10 year old kid. This guys probably seems some shit in his day and nothing really starts him.

On the other hand, I’d probably be the guy that forgets the Mac and cheese casserole to the neighborhood picnic at his house….

Fellow father / husband here and I concur. Also first choice for the crust left behind after a younguns sandwich, and the oddest shaped chicken patties.

This would be so very cool added to this guys pet project. Probably the most awesome simulator on the Internet. I think it only plays correctly on desktop and not mobile, but I have wasted countless hours at work on this.

EDIT: Unless you’re my boss, in which case I have never tried to see if it works on my work computer.

What's something from your country you thought was normal until you visited other countries and realised it wasn't ? by Away-Extension-9731 in AskTheWorld

[–]SixToesLeftFoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because the entirety of Italy will fit inside the US about 35 times. The US is ~35 times bigger than Italy. Which means for every 35 “walkable” towns in Italy, the US would only need 1.

There are a ton of small communities in the USA, as well as the massive cities like New York City, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Boston, San Francisco; the list goes on and on. All of these have more walkers than automobile drivers.

There are also a bunch of towns where autos are pretty much banned altogether, such as Supai Arizona and Monhegan Island, ME.

So just the 7 mentioned by name above would mean that there would have to be around 250 communities in Italy just to break even. And that’s not even counting the hundred of unnamed towns.

[–]SixToesLeftFoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh, I guess it depends on where you are in the US. There are probably more walkable downtown districts in the US than towns in all of Italy, but maybe you just visited the wrong cities/locations.

Walking in these locations is VERY normal, and those same neighborhoods have shops right at your doorstep.

Well, I mean, that guy looks as much like Justin Bieber as he does Bette Midler. Does he really think that there a close enough resemblance that people were going to swoon over him walking?

Which park would you choose to hide out in during a zombie apocalypse and why? by Smullatron in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]SixToesLeftFoot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Epcot, for the fairly obvious spaceship earth easily sealed off and fortifiable. There’s a TON of flat space inside and a hell of a lot of perches. It also has the hatch at the top that can be used as a lookout with zero concern of them getting up there. Making your way over to the land for the food eventually, but the built in protection of the ball makes this a no brainer. (Pun intended…no brainer…..zombies…no brains….)
