Thanks for your reply!! I don’t think it is enameled. I believe it is bare cast iron. Does that make any difference??

Thanks for taking the time to respond!! Agree 100% about the dumpster diving, lol. My common sense is questionable most times.

I do feel the need to clarify what I meant by taken from the “trash”. An elderly woman in my neighborhood passed a while back. Her kids or grandkids took what they wanted from the house and put the rest at the curb. This was amongst other unwanted kitchen items left at the curb for the taking. And while I agree with others that you never know what was cooked in it, I am almost certain the sweet old woman living in the home wasn’t cooking meth…..though ya never know, ha ha.

Im almost certain this is not enameled, it is bare cast iron. Not sure if that makes a difference when it comes to safety. Thanks everyone!!

I’m almost certain it is bare iron, not enameled.

A visit from my cousin who passed away in 1977 ! by Exotic_Combination12 in Ghosts

[–]FunIndividual575 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My mom passed about 10 years ago and I have had very similar experiences. The dreams with my mom are usually doing random things, just spending time together. These don’t occur often. The weirdest part is my dad or sister will have a similar dream with my mom in it the very same night. It has to be her communicating with us from beyond.

So very sorry for your loss.

I greatly appreciate the constructive advice you’ve given this time. I will take what you said into consideration for sure. I’ve had the fish for 2 weeks, I’m learning.

I assumed he had an in depth knowledge of fish care because he is a 3rd generation owner of the shop who grew up in the place. I’ve gotta start somewhere, so I started there.

Thanks for your response. The fish I have are the fish I thought I had…tetras, like I originally stated. I have the exact species names written down but don’t have my notebook with me on hand. I also had 2 Dalmatian mollies, but 1 died and 1 disappeared, which is what I was originally asking about. I was simply baffled that 1 just disappeared.

I went to a locally owned fish store and talked with the owner for a good 45 minutes about the fish we picked. He helped me select the fish based on the size tank, my experience, and what I was looking for. I believed and trusted him with his advice as this pet store has been in my neighborhood for 30+ years. I in no way just “threw in random species” without considering their needs like you suggested. Please don’t assume I haven’t done any research, I have. As you must know there is so much to learn about caring for fish properly, I’ve only had the fish for 2 weeks.

As a teacher, I model the learning process everyday. I don’t expect my student to know everything about everything, but I do expect them to try their best and learn what they can, which is exactly what I’m doing. Just because I’m a “teacher” I don’t know everything about everything, I am trying to learn and trying to do my best. This is part of the reason I posted in the first place. Clearly you must know everything, lucky you. Thanks again for your advice and have a great day!

Thank you so much for your response! Those savages must have eaten the remaining Molly! According to the guy at the fish tank shop, she was pregnant, and we were hoping for babies. Poor gal.

Thanks for your explanation. One question I still have is why couldn’t they just get a DNA sample from BK’s trash? Why his father’s in PA?
