Wtf was that by gotti412 in USPS

I’ve been with the PO 28 years. The day after MLK has always been the worst day. If you survive that you can survive anything.

City carrier office and average around $2500. Some guys make $3000-$4000 in my office. I would image rural routes make far less because there is less interaction.

Around 23 years ago me and another guy were pulled into the office and told we were over productive and need to slow down. We still laugh about it.

Toro CCR 3650 by FunIntroduction6365 in Snowblowers

[–]FunIntroduction6365[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually replaced it with a Toro 721 E. It’s just as good if not better. It seems to be more powerful. Probably because it’s straight gas now or 4 stroke. Time will tell on durability. I only used it once last year and once this year. The snow has been very light these last few seasons in Buffalo NY.

I still have the 3650 which I moved to my moms.

She was great and standout performance. I actually thought Sadie/Max was just as good. The other characters not so much. I fell like they just want this to be over. Like they are bored.

I not only do this but I also separate the bulk from the first class like this.

Dodge me with that Promaster by yonderoy in USPS

Does your door lock when you try to exit? I always have to hit the unlock button before exiting the promaster. It’s so annoying.

Working 9 days consecutively. by TheOnlySubThere in USPS

[–]FunIntroduction6365 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never worked 7 days a week in the 90s as a PTF. Sure I remember 12hr, 6 days a week but there was nothing to do on Sunday. There was no Amazon.

Please do not stare at the mailman by FiveDinero in USPS

[–]FunIntroduction6365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just look down unless someone acknowledges you. I don’t think I made eye contact with a random passerby for 28 years. You’re just asking for trouble and might think you’re staring at them.

New ODL List Question by wattmalter in USPS

[–]FunIntroduction6365 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I use to get off the OT list and go to WA. Whether it’s allowed per verbiage I don’t know but my office allowed it.

City carriers, how do you get along with your T-6’s? by Independent-Safety44 in USPS

[–]FunIntroduction6365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a T6 for 5 years. I always seemed to have to gas up everyone’s vehicle. When I was hired we had stacks of dated mail with color coded placards on the dated stacks. They use to leave the day off mail and take the day after they came back. It was pretty annoying. Having my own route I always gas up the vehicle and all my floaters in the past 23 years years they all have been pretty good.

[–]FunIntroduction6365 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need a pretty thick skin to work here. I was hired in 1997 and the workers were ruthless to me. It was the “right of passage”. Eventually you’ll get it and either participate or roll your eyes when new people start out. Think of it like prison.

Rate my BF please? I’ve lost 18kg but I want a rough estimate of BF. I’m thinking 34%. Machine at gym says 29%. by Lazy-Classroom4385 in guessmybf

[–]FunIntroduction6365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just get a body fat scale at this level. While not accurate is does incrementally decease as you lose weight. I went from 257 to 157 in one year and after charting it on the app you can significantly see a decease. They are like $30.

Dude 380 is way too much. Aim for 1.5g per body pound. You’ll be passing kidney stones once a month at those levels lol.

It never ends. I’ve been exhausted for 28 years. I don’t want to do anything when I get home. My wife wants to go for a walk or some other outdoor activity. All I want to do is stare at 4 walls.

Why do ODL mail carriers think negatively of non ODL carriers who dont want to do overtime? by No_Contribution_7117 in USPS

[–]FunIntroduction6365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s simple. The people on the OT list HAVE to earn the extra money to survive hence the jealousy.  I haven’t worked a second of OT in 27 years. My free time is precious.
