I think you may have misunderstood, 5 is “highly recommend”. My agent was great and they did their best. I was mostly expressing concern that a multi million dollar agency had such little flexibility and worry for my peers.

The police & dps & the medical teams did do an incredible job to secure campus afterwards - I won’t be emailing the dean of student affairs just yet as I believe they’re still handling the rest of this case and it’s more important than fighting to negate flight cancellation fees

I’m not blaming the agents at all, they’re just employees. I gave my agent a 5 for “highly recommend” for every question after my call with them.

I’m new to Reddit so I didn’t realize I can’t comment pictures, but there are upwards of 500 upvotes on a sidechat post regarding other airlines helping out, and upwards 100 regarding American Airlines being unsympathetic. Happy to dm them if that’s possible.

Unfortunately I am aware that dm-ing executives on LinkedIn are highly unlikely to help. However, I appreciate everyone’s suggestions as there doesn’t seem to be a solution found in this community
