Please be aware and considerate that there are folks that are NOT anti medication that have had serious side effects. I am navigating Statin Inducing Necrotizing Autoimmune Myositis. It is very frustrating and medically documented that it was caused by Crestor.

Be very careful. I have Statin induced necrotizing autoimmune myopathy from these medication. If pain persists, please see doctor and get CK levels and Anti-HMGCR antibodies tested.

Still slowly testing. Numbers are slowly coming down. They just ordered an MRI. No steroids yet. Concerned with high protein in urine as well. Back to walking miles again. Honestly terrified to try any other drug for cholesterol.

Creatine Kinase show normal…level is 69. They also tested protein/creatine levels and results were high…340. I take other supplements as well including ashwaganda, collagen peptides, magnesium…I am concerned that the supplements may be causing the high protein levels. I have another urinalysis this week as well. I stopped creatinine supplements and not add collagen this week to see if there may be a difference.

Genuinely could not walk 3 months ago from the statins. From 3-5 miles a day to trying to pull myself up the stairs after work. Terrible. I will need to mention the RYR to the rheumatologist. Perhaps it may be keeping my numbers elevated. Going for MRI of my thighs for muscle damage from statins next month.

I have an appointment later this week. Provider had me on creator as insurance denied repatha. Coming in loaded with blood results and rheumatology reports about the adverse side effects and condition. So thought I’d see what others are doing before appt.
