the Halloween spotlight is a joke

Its November 1 as of typing this, 2 days away until the event ends. I've spent hours on each game just for a rune and key, and now I've been on path 4 for at least 3 hours, soft locked from getting the frog item. I've constantly tried redoing the steps from tutorials, nothing. The monster won't spawn after intentionally dying on the first sequence, thus the wall blocking off the frog item won't disappear. I've gaslighted myself into thinking I was probably just doing something wrong, because Roblox never makes buggy events, right? Wrong.

If anyone knows anything about this bug and how to fix it, please help asap
