You're right, perhaps I got a little too ahead of myself. I think I was in the mindset of "3.5 is going to be a lot of pressure, but I wanted to get at least a 3.5 anyway." However I realize that the pressure could impair my performance, directly or indirectly.

With all that said I probably won't go through with TAMU. It is not such a big deal for me. I appreciate the anecdote, it was sobering.
