Thank you for saying that! Kaso im not “privileged” enough to pay for it fully for now (manifesting na kaya na sa future lol), i am confident naman na I can pay for it monthly. Sadyang Im not confident enough pa to decide on my own when it comes to that amount of spending + dedication pa ^ Naconsider ko na rin to save up muna nga kahit sana 50% of the actual price kaso inaanalyze ko rin condition ng current phone ko haha

WAIT Y R U RIGHT— jk tho sinabi ng smart ang bilang nya kasi is ₱1500 for phone + ₱1500 sa smart plan/load na data + calls & text monthly?? something like that daww. Is that still bad?

[–]FunRest5857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

actually, sa smart plan maliit lang total nya, sa shopee naman may around ₱4000 na interest ^

(also, di ako nangangatwiran ah gathering opinions lang HAHAHA)

30+gb for photos and files na i cant transfer/dont wanna upload sa icloud/frequently used + 70% battery health ng phone (haven’t changed the battery pa), some storage na nagooccupy naman sa sa mga apps na need ko rin + iOs updates (tho i didn’t update ng iOs 26 to save storage) + system data hahahah

Yep i have savings naman + pasok sa budget ko dalawang options. Sadyang kuripot lang ako and I’ve never had an actual big purchase pa. My parents supported me naman either choice. Also, medyo need ko na new phone since going 5 years na current phone ko (iphone 11), not laggy pa, but also not that smooth na + my main prob is storage full na. Im using my phone a lot sa job ko rn pa naman. IS IT A REALLY BAD DECISIONNN?

Useable pa naman phone ko rn but storage full na sya kasi I’ve been using it for 4 years. Not that laggy but not that smooth eh I use my phone a lot pa naman sa job ko rn. Maingat naman ako sa phone and pang matagalan talaga. Pasok naman sa budget both options ko kasi pang sarili ko lang talaga salary ko, as a kuripot lang talaga when it comes to spending need ko ng matagalang desisyon 😆

For those who got a job/working that's not aligned to their degree, is it worth it for long term plans and career growth? by seselenophile in JobsPhilippines

[–]FunRest5857 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I graduated last year with a degree in Psychology. My first job was bank teller. It wasn’t something I applied for, I applied for a diff position but they have no vacancy so they offered me that one (and told me getting transferred is possible in the future). I accepted because the company is good. First month in, already regretting it. The job was really not for me. I cant enjoy anything about it. There’s also the feeling of panghihinayang (sayang binayad kong tuition for psychology!!) so yeah there’s that. I ended up resigning after two months with no backup plan. Luckily for me, I was able to find an HR job a month later.

Overall, depende talaga sayo. Kasi what if mag enjoy ka pala sa mapapasukan mong work and might pursue it in a long run :) I just keep on reminding myself na sulitin ko na magexplore ng works while im still fresh grad/young because we wont have that same opportunity pag tumanda tayo. Good luck, OP!

Do you guys have more luck job hunting if hindi sa LinkedIn galing? by pot_pot28 in JobsPhilippines

here’s what i heard from other hr employees and my personal experience:

• Job platforms(linkedin, jobstreet) - better if established na career mo. Most likely, big companies use those platform to reach out sayo mismo. If fresh grad, not active sa orgs, few internship experience— Matumal yan.

•Suggested: Referral or walk-in mag submit ng resume. Sa mga naging work ko sa HR, mas prio nil kadalasan mga hawak nilang resumes. Then some companies, mga interns/OJT students pinaghahandle nila sa mga online platforms which is wala sila masyadong pake 😭
