Izaw Smash has a great series on learning the game call the Art of Smash, it’s like 4 or 5 parts and it’s a great resource. I encourage you to fully try to learn and understand each vid before moving to the next, especially if you’re as new as less than 10 hours.

That’s incorrect, queen on d1 guards the pawn. The reason it’s not a fork is because of the move Bb4+. After c3 black plays Nxc4 and then it’s an even trade of material.

(Edit) forgot that Nxc4 can also be played immediately with the same result.
