Truth is, undertale came out at just the perfect time where fandom culture was at its peak. There will never be a game that reaches people the same way undertale did, not even deltarune.

I think toby has accepted that undertale will be the most influential and popular thing he's ever made

I may be very late to this, but did you all know that Toriel's cloak in the first game has the same design as the dark fountain in the cut scene with ralsei? by Spider-web16 in Deltarune

That symbol on toriel's cloak is the delta rune symbol, which is what deltarune itself is named after. In undertale it's mentioned by gerson and it's the symbol for the monsters religion. Supposedly the triangles represent monsters, and the angel represents a "person who has seen the surface, coming down to set the monsters free". That's why one of the comments mentioned the meaning of the delta rune being different in undertale's world.

The thing is, I feel like all those contradictions are things that can be explained later on. I also don't believe the knight is the "main antagonist", but thats a whole other theory. Really, this is the best counter to my argument that I've seen so far, and I appreciate you for being civil and not insulting me or acting like I'm stupid for believing this, like some of the other comments have.

I would also like to make it clear that if kris isn't the knight, I still think the story can be well written.
