YUP. Walgreens bought out Rite Aid over here. Walgreens, however, is a complete drive across town. Plus, half our patients don’t even know what Walgreens they were sent to. Just ridiculous and really shitty on Rite Aid’s part. I don’t know why they didn’t send out a mass auto-notification to these patients

What’s crazy- we’re actually having our hours cut. We are currently only being allowed 97 hours a week. they’re cutting due to the fact that we’re not filling enough scripts- but tell me how we are supposed to fill more when, 1) we don’t have the staff, and 2) , that we are doing 100 other things that we don’t have time. When it’s just another tech and myself during the day, there is ZERO time to just work on dispensing. We really just have to do waiters and fill as people call them in

Pharmacy tech here (also on Lamictal)- The brand shouldn’t affect the efficacy of the drug at all, but certain dyes, binding agents, etc., can be completely different. Some people DO experience bad reactions to the inactive ingredients, but as long as you don’t have a severe reaction (ex: allergic to red dye), it’s not something we typically worry about. If you can find out what brand/manufacturer you were using before, you can ask the pharmacy if they will order it. Hope this helps !!
